Because we hate socialism, even though we make use of the soil bank program to get paid not to grow certain crops, and enjoy federal subsidies, we will vote republican for ever and ever. Yah Tiny’s tariffs are hurting us – but its all for the good saving us from those urban, costal Democrats.
You voted for this orange voice of the people. Got angry at us for pointing out his criminality, selfishness and greed. Said we were talking down to you. You talked down to us. Didn’t believe any warnings about global warming. Belittled us about “identity politics”. Scoffed over Russian election interference.
You made your bed, now lie in it.
And yes, I am a more than a little bitter and angry.
Donny is doing harm to many U.S. citizens across political, religous, etc. spectrums. He is doing harm to nations across the world. For the good of all, work to remove him from office in 2020 and elect congress people who are willing to stand up and support constitutional safeguards on the executive branch and U.S. laws passed to protect all citizens.
But “trade wars are good, and easy to win.” So just be patient. The principle is sound. When those shifty Chinese and greedy Japanese cave to the “Master of the Art of the Deal,” it’ll be milk and honey, pie in the sky, and happily ever after. (/s)
Except the NY Times story yesterday had farmers saying although Trump cost one $40,000 and another says he’d be hard-pressed to keep their farm, that they’d vote for Trump in 2020…because they expect Trump to pass a law where the government gives farmers back all the money Trump cost them.
Those lazy farmers, don’t want to work, just lie around and get Free Stuff from the government. Welfare queens driving their free Cadillacs to buy caviar and champagne.
I think we need to be a bit more careful on whom we are designating as Trump supporters. You can’t put the blame on the backs of the very few small farmers we have but maybe on the big agri-corporate sector along with all the other corporate support he has gotten. This link is to a commentary looking at the what defines rural these days and how they voted.
We ARE helping, to the tune of about $28 billion so far for Donnie’s little fun and easily-winnable war. And that’s just for the direct bailouts to farmers, not the tariff price increases or the bailouts to anybody else.
Not just farmers! My nephew has a floor company and all of his materials, tile, grout, etc, have gone up about 25%. All of the jobs he’s been contracted for are set in stone & will have to take the 25% hit himself. He does have the consolation that at least he didn’t vote for that narcissistic moron.
If you fly the national flag upside down, it’s a signal that you’re in serious distress and desperately need assistance. What does an upside down MAGA hat signal?
“Now that I’ve been severely burned by his policies, I will never ever vote for Trump again! I’ll only vote for someone exactly like him, who will keep telling me to hate the people I already hate, and who has the exact same GOP policies.”
Since Trump came into office Wisconsin has had 1,500 dairy operation bankruptcies, record. 90 dairies in Wisconsin have declared bankruptcy since April. MAGA!

I know I’m repeating myself. A farmer supporting trump, is like a rape victim defending her rapist.

The farmer with a shovel or pitchfork wont be seeing much of a handout.. the offshore mega owners are the ones that will reap this harvest.

Trump’s clueless trade wars hurt farmers. Fed Govt bails out farmers. Makes perfect sense to Republicons.

Sadly, more than just American farmers are hurt by #45’s “policies!”
