A case so cold. A scholar bold invites the great detective

Into her lair. Two days to spare. Prepare and be selective.

Lizz dives in. Begin again. Work parallel to sister

“There’s more to see.” Or so says Lee. Returning to the Pfister.

Elsewhere, in the cold case room, Tracy goes to school

Courier from auction house did meet a fate so cruel.

A sharpened blade did pierce his heart. Gone cold the inquisition

A thief purloined rare Shakespeare texts. A violent acquisition.

    Good morning™, everyone!

The cold case proves to be interesting. Another case of stolen old manuscripts with the same M.O. from 7 years ago makes me doubt my idea that Manutius was murdered just recently. It could be that he was killed an time within the last 11 months.

Sam was hoping the current investigation was not going to become an eventual cold case, but the current case is connected to the cold one from years past…

Of course….one of those “cold cases” had to be tied in to the current killing spree in Tracy’s town.

    Good morning™, cold beverages !

I don’t know what everyone has against cold cases as cold drinks are a very welcome repast during hot…….. Oh !  the apparently unsolved (unsolvable) crimes !  Hopefully this story will find its closing chapter.

Is that the UBS guy lying prone in the last panel ?

You’d think law enforcement in Tracy’s state would have some sort of centralized data system so investigators working on current cases could see if they matched up in any way with existing cold cases. Maybe … someday…

    Good morning, Cold Case Corpses!

So, we now have a 3rd victim killed in the same manner as the previous 2 it seems. At first I didn’t think this was a serial killer, just someone who kills simply out of necessity to obtain the object he or she wants. Now I’m beginning to think that this is a ritual type of killer who is compelled to for the “prize.” There are any number of possibilities; it’s just interesting that up until now every killing involves a stolen item of simialarity and the methodology of the murders are exactly the same. Hmmmm….

It’s a different looking room from the usual MCU decor, but we still don’t know for sure whether Tracy went downstate or the downstate folks came upstate for the lowdown….

In my school we were having the seventh grade read ‘The Book Thief’. I believe my students would rather read the Dick Tracy version if they had a choice.

I wonder if this story will end with a sword fight between Tracy and X.Libris? It wouldn’t be the first time a Tracy story contained a sword fight. Tracy vs. Putty Puss and Lizz vs. Pucker Puss (although Lizz was using a swordfish beak as her weapon) are two times that come to mind.

Wouldn’t something like that been reported whatever database Police use to find similar crimes from other jurisdictions?

A message to Major Matt Mason.

If I provide you my email address, can you send me a message with yours so I can forward the final badge design? I promise not to share it. I was wondering if you might correct the sandwich border once again as I had to redo the badge? Thank you once again, Major.

1-TOKEEN FEMALE~: Where’d you get these bundled up, rare manuscripts? STAN STATEGUY: Somebody keeps mailing them to me…

2-…This one here is tied to a murder from 7 years ago.

3-DT: HANG ON! SEVEN IS MY LUCKY NUMBER! Let me have a crack at it!

    4-STAN: Sure. Why not. Here’s Shakespeare’s Folio that was…

5-DT: So the dead guy’s name is Shakespeare and he had polio – got it! I’ll begin by ruling out polio as the cause of death – no sense wasting time on a natural death. STAN: The courier was stabbed and his name wasn’t…

DT: NO HINTS! I wanna solve this one on my own! STAN: sigh Yeah. Good luck…

Two murders thus far, one from New York seven years ago. What case is the lady going to follow up on? I hope they will go through some more files to determine a pattern.

Good realistic story-telling that we haven’t been shown the perpetrator yet.(Odds are bad that it would be either of the Nitrates. Silver is in prison and Sprocket isn’t interested in such ‘action’.)

    Bingo!

A Cold Case from seven years ago relates and could provide a fresh clue in Tracy’s two current murder cases that appear to be related! We need more info on that auction house courier murder case. This meeting on “downstate” cold cases may turn out to be very productive after all….

When Agatha Christie died, they found a complete Miss Marple novel in her desk that she’d written in 1942 but decided she didn’t like it and never sent it in.It was was published posthumously.
