The pen is mighty, especially when connected to a publishing house. But the man holding a pen had best be very polite to the man holding a sword.

“…though the pen is mightier than the sword, the sword speaks louder and stronger at any given moment.”

I have a Knights of Columbus ceremonial sword. Not sharp enough to slice bread, but it has a sharp point, and I could certainly skewer someone.

“We skirmished for hours that night in the glen, And I found the sword had more might than the pen, But I started snoring before the break of day, And he thought it was a bugle and got up and marched away.”
