Something I knew years ago. I’d tune in on Sunday for the news, then Will Shortz, and Garrison Keeler. Then it got WOKE, progressive, and then just blatantly smearing Trump and promoting the radical agenda. We pay for this misinformation with our tax dollars and all those viewer support drives. Ditto PBS. I hate being lied to by corrupt “reporters.” Whatever Federal department they belong to, cut their funding, and put them out of business. Remember the movie “The Way We Were?” Katie the Commie, played by Barbra Streisand worked for NPR. Fiction becomes non-Fiction. Fire them all.
Yeah sure. The country needs more of those fair and balanced networks with the Murdoch touch.
You know where they appropriately report all the news. For example the day after the Arizona decision (based on an 1864 code BEFORE it was a state) was given two hours of coverage by the dastardly lib networks.
FAUX NEWS THOUGHT IT NEEDED ONLY 12 MINUTES! Are the women in Arizona that stupid or do they just have a very very short attention span?
The problem that many so called conservatives have is that truth really DOES have a liberal bias… since they depend on falsehoods for their own purposes.
Donkey Public Radio sounds a lot like those Soviet and Chinese controlled media outlets. Poor Reagan fought for a decade to end the Soviet Union only for Commie Obama and Commie Biden fully implementing it here in the USSA, I mean, USA.
You will hear from conservatives on NPR – and their interviewers ask questions that often get brushed off rather than answered, so as not to expose the foolishness and hypocrisy of their position. At least they air all sides of an issue, unlike most “conservative” media, which fail to give mention of uncomfortable truths about their side.
Also, although NPR gets some money from the Federal government, the vast majority of their funding comes from listeners and corporate underwriters. And that constituency is satisfied enough to donate money every time they ask.
A website founded by a former US Marine who now lives in Russia fuelled a rumor that Volodymyr Zelensky purchased two luxury yachts with American aid money. Despite the false claim, the disinformation plot was successful. It took off online and was echoed by members of the US Congress and Senate, which make crucial decisions about military spending.
NPR, among other legitimate news agencies, reported about the Russian disinformation campaign and its effect on Republican members of the House and Senate, who repeated the claim in the legislative chambers for the permanent record.
Now, most of our conservative friends would call that Liberal reporting. Why? Because investigative reporting said, the luxury yacht story was false without inviting a conservative to offer a counterargument.
When you are dealing with indisputable facts, there is no requirement to voice another opinion. In other words, if you are reporting about the world being round and you have a person insisting that it is flat, indisputable evidence proves that flat-Earthers are wrong. There isn’t a responsibility to say anything beyond that they are wrong.
As soon as I heard about the dust-up at NPR, I could have scripted what our conservative friends would blather on about. Their viewpoint was as easy to predict as gravity is to demonstrate, and I and most others will not lose any sleep over it.
NPR is considered “liberal” because of choice of stories it reports, not because they are saying things that are not factual. NPR has never had to pay almost $1 BILLION for defamation, for example. This is why Varvel genuflects in front of FOX each evening; fact free and lots of illogical logic.
This is hardly surprising. NPR has never accepted a single conspiracy theory, does not agree with the Great Replacement Theory and considers Jan 6th to be an insurrection inspired by Trump. As such, they will never have any GOP leanings.
Peel back ALL of the MSM legacy “news” logos and you’ll find that logo hiding underneath. Minions of the Democratic Regime, each and every one of them.

If the opposite of WOKE is HATE, I’ll stay with WOKE, thank you very much – hate is so unsatisfying except for mental deviates.^

Many of us have known the far left bias of NPR for years, it was simply exposed for all to see.
