Al Fresco Free

Retired high school government teacher, high school, college, and public librarian, a world traveler, and a regular Fox News viewer. BA, MST, partial MEd, and MLS. Past resident of Oregon, Guam, Australia, Minnesota, and now Arizona. 6 yrs Naval Reserve. Voted mostly DEM since JFK, then GOP after Bill Clinton. A former member of the ACLU, the AFT and NEA unions. A matured liberal, ie. conservative and a Catholic. The world has changed, but my basic beliefs have not. I love satire, sarcasm, politics, talk radio, snarky humor, and reading historical fiction and the newspaper. I complete the NYT crossword puzzle daily. My essential TV news shows are “The Five” then “Gutfeld!” aired on FoxNews. I’m a White heterosexual fan of the cartoon “The Fusco Brothers” and my avatar is AL FUSCO, therefore Al Fresco. All Woke followers may address me by my preferred pronoun “YOU.” Mister, Sir, or Professor is also acceptable. When commenting I attack the idea and not the writer.

Trump committed fraud by UNDER reporting the value of his property by millions to get a loan. Who was “cheated.” Did the bank complain? No, but a hate Trump DA did and a biased judge is presiding over the trial.

A gag order is an infringement of free speech. The court only prohibited Trump for berating court employes, not the prosecutor or even himself.

How dare those 2,000 disrupt my TV? I was watching democracy in action in the House when some of the Arizona delegation were challenging the certification of Arizona’ electors after allegations of election irregularities. 55% of all voters in Arizona still believe the 2022 election was stolen. Many of those believe the 2020 was stolen as well. (Rasmussen, March 2023)

Negotiations require 2 willing parties. Why was McCarthy not willing to compromise? Why must his critics be the only ones who have to compromise? Why did McCarthy not keep his promises on House reforms he made when he was first chosen Speaker?

His enemies were after him before he became the nominee and wanted him removed from office before he served 1 day as president.

Less than 2,000 broke into or walked into the capitol (undercover agents included) They broke the law. The 100,000+ who peacefully attended the Jan 6 and the 73.6 million who voted for Trump did not break any laws but have been libeled by the Left’s broad brush.

Single subject bills are democratic. Omnibus bills are un-democratic?
