Ye cats! Beat poets. I wonder how many readers are old enough to remember them? I have a story about a beat poet, but I have to keep explaining to people what that is.

I’d like to beat those poets.

Yoko has a beard?

This rose is like my red red love.

It became an official “poetry slam” once the audience slammed them with projectiles.

He also got a parking ticket because he didn’t get the meter right.

that like sortta poetry all Isn’t

Beatnik irony. (Accompanied by ~snapping fingers, ‘Oh wow, man’ ‘copacetic’)

“It’s inverse!”

Even worse, he wrote it for a college course, so it’s a universe.

Just so the poem is not perverse.
