You don’t remove the sleeping kitty from your lap. She will never forgive you. I call it being “catted.”

One of my cats is very heavy so I can’t have him stay on my lap too long.

Every Wednesday I go to a ladies’ Bible Study at a dear friend’s home. Friend has a cat named Cheddar who hates everyone who isn’t her “mom”. 4 weeks ago Cheddar jumped up on my lap, realized that I wasn’t “mom”, hissed & jumped off. 3 weeks ago she did the same, but didn’t hiss. 2 weeks ago she jumped up, stayed a minute (but didn’t sit or curl up on my lap), then jumped off without hissing. Last week she jumped up, and much to Friend’s shock, curled up on my lap! However, just a moment later she hissed and jumped off.

Hey, who’s in charge here? You or the cat?… Never mind.

They will return, trust me. If you have a second cat, pay more attention to it, then the first will come back to the lap.

Given some of the stuff that Peekaboo does, is that really a bad thing?

I’m not pushed around by my daughters or my cat at all. And no, I will not repeat that statement under oath. The only one that does not push me around is my wife. (Thoughtfully) Huh…

It is an honor to have a cat or dog on your lap.

What, doesn’t everybody know the rule that you can’t get up if you have a cat on your lap? But my crazy cat climbs up on my chest and lies down (eventually) with her paws on my shoulder. And if I ask, or just make the right “I need to get up now” sound, she gets off.

I used to have four cats. The fourth, Arwen, sadly gone this past Halloween, was never very cuddly. I always felt ridiculously flattered when she did condescend to curl up in my lap.

Love the way this artist renders his characters with his unique minimalist style. Peekaboo is THE purrrfect form of a delicate kitty.

She may resist, but kitties have a hard time resisting a warm lap for very long.

However, Rose will need Corky to bring her a platter of their Hottest Wings so she will know if they are worth a visit.
