I remember those days! Now of course I prop up my phone and read Twitter/X.

I polished my early reading skills by reading the back of cereal boxes in the 50’s.

Too scary to read the cereal box contents.

I see newspapers at the market. Looks like a small museum display.

Chex cereals used to have humorous newspaper parodies, as I recall, and Fun Facts.

I’m young and I read boxes, labels, containers all the time.

Cereals? Me no eats steenky over-processed junk foods for breakfast.

Only problem——to read and understand ingredient labels on packages today, you have to have an advanced degree in chemistry and 5 years experience in the field to understand them ! ! ! !

As a compulsive reader, I will read ANYthing in my sight.

I have no need for fish wrap. I didn’t even know they still delivered.

Sugary cereals: buy sugar by the ton, sell it by the ounce.

I still do.

Newspapers, too expensive. At least our local one became that and most of the news was a day late. Read MSN news now on my cell phone or computer.

And it’s not just for breakfast. You can eat your cereal and read your cereal box for lunch, dinner, supper, and snacks, too.

This Plugger went e-paper (always there at 5:30AM) years ago because the cereal box plots never changed.

I miss the papers we used to get. Detroit Free Press, Lansing State Journal and the Grand Rapids Press. Great reading and then using them after for covering the tabletops when I would paint/stain.

A non plugged would ask what a morning newspaper is.

The back of most cereal boxes used to be informative and entertaining. Now they’re just ad space.

I will mention that our regional newspaper is featured in a number of movies – especially political ones.
