Here’s the thing for me. There is NO scriptural prohibition against abortion, and a fetus is not considered a person in scripture but rather property at most. Furthermore, the US constitution does not define a fetus as a person and grants zero rights to a fetus. So what is the state’s interest (other than controlling a woman) in preventing an abortion?

It really is quite cruel to women. Many years ago when I was in nursing school and before there was so much sophisticated technology I had a patient who was in her 8th month with a baby with no brain. She was Catholic and underwent a safe saline induced abortion and the priest was there to give the baby last rites. There was no question about the process, she had to have the procedure or she could die.

I am in favor of abortion as an option in this situation. I think what Texas did to that woman was outrageous.

In the 1950s and 1960s when abortion was almost impossible in the USA many women in need took “vacations” in. Sweden and other countries where the procedure is legal. Many women from Texas, and other states, are now taking “vacations” in blue states using private means of transportation while their borders are still open. Look for the little trickle become a flood soon.

Why aren’t these politicians sued for practicing medicine without a license? Or any training? Or any experience? Or any brains capable of logic?

Rapist loving woman hating republicans want to FORCE every woman in the county to bring her rapists baby to term against the will of their doctor. Don’t vote for the people who HATE you.

Since everyone is affected by birth a trauma, so to speak, because it is normal, people think it is not significant.
