An ancient form of abortion utilized in the Middle East was the application of camel dung.
OK, I’m not 100% convinced that it’s true, but let’s say it is, over and over again until the Supreme Court, in association with Big Pharma, outlaws camel dung, loudly proclaiming it’s not nearly biblical enough (but close).
This is why the RWNJs, who have no political spin or answer for these travesties, have intensified their efforts to keep attention on the southern border at the expense of everything else they have NOT done. DISTRACT AND OBFUSCATE!
I say, since men can’t get pregnant, men in Texas and other backwards states shouldn’t be treated for cancer, until it’s too late to treat a hundred percent successfully and will cause them the most pain.
Several millennia ago, an invisible being was heard by those who transcribed his words to scripts/scrolls/bibles, and one of the directives was — in that sparsely populated era with a short life span — to have many children to increase the population. We are now, millennia later, depleting the resources needed to sustain our civilization faster than they can be replenished, and no new advice from the invisible being on what to do now is claimed to have been heard. Stubbornly defying logic, reality, and common sense, Paxton — and those like him — have imposed the ancient directive from a bygone era as though it still was relevant to a safe sane civilization.
Here’s the thing for me. There is NO scriptural prohibition against abortion, and a fetus is not considered a person in scripture but rather property at most. Furthermore, the US constitution does not define a fetus as a person and grants zero rights to a fetus. So what is the state’s interest (other than controlling a woman) in preventing an abortion?
It really is quite cruel to women. Many years ago when I was in nursing school and before there was so much sophisticated technology I had a patient who was in her 8th month with a baby with no brain. She was Catholic and underwent a safe saline induced abortion and the priest was there to give the baby last rites. There was no question about the process, she had to have the procedure or she could die.
In the 1950s and 1960s when abortion was almost impossible in the USA many women in need took “vacations” in. Sweden and other countries where the procedure is legal. Many women from Texas, and other states, are now taking “vacations” in blue states using private means of transportation while their borders are still open. Look for the little trickle become a flood soon.
Rapist loving woman hating republicans want to FORCE every woman in the county to bring her rapists baby to term against the will of their doctor. Don’t vote for the people who HATE you.
“I am not aware of a single situation inwhich a preborn child’s life had to betaken in order to save the life of the mother.”-Dr. C. Everett KoopFormer Surgeon General
“Today it is possible for almostany patient to be brought through pregnancy alive, unlessshe suffers from a fatal illnesssuch as cancer or leukemia, and,if so, abortion would be unlikelyto prolong, much less save, life.”-Dr. Alan GuttmacherPlanned Parenthood
In a civilization, attempts are made to protect the population and democracy from excessive dangers and fears. Too little attention is paid to the unborn child, it is given too little protection. We know from prenatal psychology about the trauma of birth and the significance of birth trauma for life as a whole. Since everyone is affected by birth a trauma, so to speak, because it is normal, people think it is not significant. The opposite is the case: since everyone is traumatized, everyone fends off the same (birth) trauma by acting it out.
By acting out the same traumas en masse, our alter egos, in which our traumas are stored, can join forces and unfurl the flag of war or cheer for Trump.

If there was a name tag on the GQP doctor’s coat, we’d see that his last name is Mengele.

And when she delivers a dead baby they’ll prosecute her anyway for child endangerment.

I am in favor of abortion as an option in this situation. I think what Texas did to that woman was outrageous.

What’s the big deal?
If you wanna control women, a few of ’em are gonna have to suffer — as examples to the rest of them.
Otherwise, they get out of line in a hurry.

BTW, next up: contraceptives and sex education.
