Fine, close all the loopholes and fairly tax the billionaires and their ilk. Make the 1% who own 90% of the wealth in this nation cough up some manna for the good of the nation. Recognizing the peons whose blood, sweat and tears made their obscene existence possible. Not to mention the government built infrastructure courtesy of said peasants as well. It’ll be a gas watching the members of Congass come up with excuses not to touch the real owners of America.

And yet the GOP squeals because the woefully underfunded IRS is getting some much needed funding. Why collecting some of the $441 billion of taxes that goes uncollected every year is at all controversial I will never understand. They don’t want new taxes, don’t want to collect the taxes currently in law and there is no way to cut enough spending to make a tiny dent in then debt. What do they want?

Where does the $441 billion figure come from? The only taxes that are going uncollected are from those like Hunter Biden who have found out loop-holes and figured out how not to get caught in trickery that will “take ten years to figure out.” The working masses don’t need more policing; they just have theirs taken out of their paycheck before they get it. If you don’t think there are other places where spending cuts could be done, you need to see some of the pork (both parties) in the disputed current bill. The GOP is trying to put the brakes on Biden’s rampant spending sprees. Follow the money that he’s designated for climate “control.” See where it goes and what it is used for.

In answer to Pumb.Bob, the GOP wants the government to fail. That was always the intention of Supply Side Economics, which the GOP clings to for its fiscal policy. It has never worked because it was never supposed to. This is also why the debt always increases more under GOP administrations. As Yogi Berra once said, “You could look it up!”

The massive debt is all part of the leftist plan to destroy America. They are not calling may day, they are celebrating.

Now, the RINO establishment, and Trump, are clearly complicit in facilitating this.

Looking forward to REAL conservative leadership in the HOUSE with Jordan. Time to stop providing money to the bloated bueracracy, the weaponized DOJ and the failed interventionist foreign policies.

REALLY looking forward to President Ron DeSantis who will help repair the Leftist and RINO damage.

REALLY REALLY praying for Americans to wake up and stop begging for entitlements at the cost of our children’s future.

Class is in session: Both parties are to blame for the 20 year train wreck. Looking forward, defense spending will need to be maintained and increased, an aging population requires more public accommodation and spending. This does not permit reduced spending. Answers? Hopefully tech like AI will make the U.S. more productive -we’ve been in a long slump. Immigration of the educated needs to be encouraged with open arms. And taxes need to go up. Without the Bush & Paul Ryan tax cuts the national debt would today be a third of what it is. That is reality children. Class dismissed.

Remember, every tax or loophole, was voted on by both parties. Once and a great while one or two makes a lot of noise, but Tax laws always go thru. The loopholes are in the laws by design. It’s a payoff to the big donners.

Debt only matters when Democrats are in the White House or running Congress.

Furthermore, each time Republicans get the chance, they cut the taxes on the wealthy, exacerbating the debt. This results in the Republicans getting campaign contributions from those wealthy tax dodgers and the American people getting nothing.

At least when Democrats spend the nation’s money, they are trying to help people. A case in point is the Infrastructure Bill, which is building and repairing roads and bridges throughout the country.

One of the solutions has got to be elimination of all income tax deductions and exemptions so no one can legally dodge paying taxes and everyone pays their fair share. It would reduce income tax filing to one page so tax accountants and tax preparation services would no longer be required.

It only takes one Representative to call for the Speakership to be vacated. Those are the rules of engagement agreed upon at the beginning of the term.

If they want to change the rules, they have to have another vote to recind/edit them. That has not been done . . . yet.

So any speaker elected is subject to the same 1 Rep can trigger a Vacate Vote rules that McCarthy was kicked out on.

Any RWNJ bozo that manages to squeek by can be kicked out by all the Democrats and 6 or more Republicans.

Any compromise candidate that gets elected by all the Democrats and 6 or more Republicans is immune to a Vacate Vote because the Democrats will act to save him/her.

So who is really in charge of the House, in the face of the Chaos Caucus?

I’ve been a fan of the graduated flat tax for a very long time now. Automatically deducting income tax of 5% from the paychecks of the lowest paid, 15% from lower middle income and 20% from upper middle income across the board, and deducting 30% from millionaires and 40% from billionaires from their overall income/profits, without benefit of tax cuts, loopholes, tax returns, etc., eliminates paperwork, reduces corruption, and levels the playing field. Everybody gives their fair share upfront. In our digital age, it wouldn’t be all that difficult to accomplish this. The government is already planning to impose digital tracking of all transactions. An automatic deduction from paychecks and certain transactions would be far more efficient than wasting time trying to “catch” people cheating on their taxes. Of course, that would be an epic transformation of our tax system that would do away with a big percentage of the IRS bureaucracy, not to mention the jobs of hundreds of thousands of tax experts. But then, those jobs would be exchanged for cybersecurity specialists. Obviously, this is just a simple outline of what could be a more workable and fair taxation system.

Billionaire Democrat Donor Admits He Was Wrong About Trump, Misses Life Under 45’s Administration

The Democrats’ many wealthy supporters deserve credit when they finally recognize their foolishness. Chamath Palihapitiya, a billionaire venture capitalist who voted Democrat in the last two presidential elections, has admitted his error and praised the work done by the administration of former President Donald Trump. “What those guys did was pretty incredible in hindsight,” Palihapitiya said last week. Those comments came during Friday’s episode of the “All-In Podcast.” Palihapitiya serves as one of four co-hosts for the podcast, discussing economics, tech and other topics. In the brief clip, he began by confessing that he voted for Hillary Clinton and then for Joe Biden. “Every other president found a way to, frankly, make our situation a little bit worse, specifically around wars. He did not do that. And that is a huge accomplishment that I think needs to be acknowledged,” Palihapitiya said. The co-host then described himself as a “Democrat” now “left homeless” and “definitely in the center but probably leaning increasingly right.” Palihapitiya cited the Abraham Accords and other Middle East peace initiatives as “just a real example for the world.” At that point, co-host Jason Calacanis interrupted so as to amplify his comments. “It’s a miracle, actually, when you look at it, what they did, you know,” he said. Calacanis described himself as “no fan of Trump” and “homeless” like his co-host. “But if you want to objectively look at what they did, it was great work,”. Palihapitiya then lamented the damage caused by “T DS.” “It’s now causing us to not see that good work and then embrace and extend it.” “So much of the work that happened in that administration turns out to have been right,” Palihapitiya added. Hecited the border wall, long-term debt and Middle East peace as examples. – The Western Journal

If “Republicans” actually wanted to reduce the debt, they would keep Joe Biden and the Democratic party in power. Compare increased debt Democratic administration to Republican administration.

    https://www.selfdotinc/info/us-debt-by-president/

“National debt during Joe Biden’s presidency has increased by $2.5 trillion since he took office, an increase of 8.79% as of September 2022.”

“During Donald Trump’s whole presidency, the U.S. national debt increased by $8.18 trillion, a percentage increase of 40.43%. This is less than Barack Obama (69.98%) and George W. Bush (105.8%). However, Donald Trump was in office for only 4 years compared to 8 years for both Barack Obama and George W. Bush.”

We do NOT have a debt problem. Yes, there is a lot more debt than ever before. But please explain to me what impact it has had?

And if you DO insist on that notion, please note that we do not have a spending problem. If anything, we have a TAXATION problem. If you think balancing the budge and paying off the national debt is important (and it is not), fine. Fix the revenue side.

But what about spending? The U.S. is 25th in the world in spending as a part of GDP. Pretty mundane.

Raise taxes on the rich. It will help calm inflation without hurting the economy (because most people would still be spending).
