This story arc has been a long six weeks for us human followers. In dog years, six weeks means 6 times 7 or almost a year in Snoopy’s life time! You can just see his anguish in the last panel!
Why not you, Snoopy? Why do you think you should be exempt from the foibles of fate, the random chaos that affects everyone? What makes you so much more special than the rest of us?
Snoopy is much like Scrooge and probably Trump right now. They all live in a fantasy life that see themselves as sweet and kind and totally undeserving of such pain. When, in fact, their predicaments were inevitable like Snoopy who sleeps on his roof, year after year. Yes, as Orinoco says, why not you?
Look at it this way, Snoopy. You’ll have an early warning system for weather changes. Of course it may hurt worse than the actual moment of breaking the leg did. Then again, maybe not. (Personal experience, when I broke my left wrist it hurt but not nearly bad enough to make me say anything why as my right wrist had me screaming in pain; weather changes can have the left wrist feel a lot worse than when I originally broke it but the right wrist is as bad as when I broke it at the worst of pain caused by weather changes)

Please tell me that the cast is coming off tomorrow. I’m getting tired of this.
kaycstamper about 1 year ago
Don’t ask “Why me!” Instead just be glad you’re getting it off!

I believe that everything in life happens for a reason. Sometimes it takes me decades to figure out what that reason is.

I dunno. Maybe Charles needed a break, and drew this storyline out longer than necessary to get one.

This sounds like what our Lord Jesus would’ve stated in the Garden of Gethsemane as he was praying.

“Why me?” Why not? Things, good and bad, happen to all beings, and you are a being. You’re eligible.

“Why me? Why me?”
“Why not you?”
“Hmm…that’s logical.”

For a second I thought Snoopy’s cast had “Nina” drawn on it.

The only question should be, how am I such a Clutz.

Look at it this way, Snoopy – at least your injury didn’t involve the cat next door. Or Tonya Harding…
