If Opal didn’t give him advance notice so he could plan something else to do that day, this time I agree Opal was rude. If Earl knew ahead of time, then he is just trying to get sympathy. He could have gone to the park to see Clyde, at least. He could take Roscoe for a walk.
At least it’s a nice day to be outside. I wonder were they would go if it were if it were raining- we never see Earl at a coffee shop or the library. (Roscoe would probably be allowed to stay indoors without Earl)
He should tell her if she doesn’t want any of her friends to see the man who financially provided for her… she should pack up and live with her friends until she can learn to treat him with respect. Hit the road Opal and don’t you come back no more…
