Last night I decided to search a bit for lists of journalism scandals, to try to give myself a little perspective.

Do you know what popped to the top of every list? The Jayson Blair event in 2003, where a single reporter for the NY Times plagiarized and lied in a series of articles on the DC sniper and military families (Iraq war). The Times, when they discovered the deception, did a full investigation internally, and published on the front page, a 7000 word article on what had happened. Subsequent to that they fired two of the top management (Howell Raines and one other).

And that is the worst in history? Most of them involved single reporters going off the rails.

None of the lists included the News of the World (a Murdoch tabloid) in Britain in 2010, where an entire organization used a hack into voice mail systems to gain access to private voice mails. That one was so bad that Murdoch found himself sitting in front of Parliament answering questions. The net was the destruction of the entire organization (200 people).

Now how does that not come to the top of every list? And how could it not be pushed to #2 by the current Faux News scandal?

It was only enterprise level collusion with a defeated leader of the United States in his attempt to illegally retain power, and in the process inspire a large number of people to participate in an insurrection that resulted in crimes so serious that more than 1000 are either serving time or are likely to be convicted.

    Answer

1/ Child procurer for Jeffrey Epstein

2/ Fentanyl dealer at an elementary school

    3/ Fox news room staffer

Question: Which three former jobs are most likely to keep you from getting hired by a new employer.

They could come forward and say tearfully, “We lied.” like Jimmy Swaggart said “I have sinned.” and then go on with business as usual and not lose a single avid viewer. That is the Cult of Fox News.

New theme song for Fox News, to be played every half hour:

“How Could You Believe Me When I Said I Love You When You Know I’ve Been a Liar All My Life”

Huh, and not a word about the blatant lies issued from the White House, Dem poliTICKans, and MSM “news” about Jan. 6. Nope, just “Look over there! Trump!” LOL… No one disagrees that thronging the Capitol Building and entering it was a smart idea. But to persistently claim that 5 officers were killed that day by protesters (none were killed), to insist it was the worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War – the most deadly war America ever fought, that pitted brother against brother, with an estimated 750,000 dead resulting from the war, which was almost 2.4% of the nation’s population – to withhold video footage from attorneys of the accused trespassers for 2 years, and then to call for the revealing of that footage to be censored (in violation of the 1st Amendment), is propaganda, suppression of exculpatory evidence (a felony), and it would also seem to violate 18 U.S.C. § 1001. That federal statute makes it a crime to “knowingly and willfully . . . make[] any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or representation” in the course of ‘any matter within the jurisdiction of the executive, legislative, or judicial branch’ of the federal government." There’s no requirement that the statement be under oath. Curious that no Leftist political cartoonists appear to want to comment on any of that.

Take anything you see on TV with a grain of salt. Anything can be twisted and altered digitally. The same can apply to what you see or think you see with your own eyes.

Most advertising is misleading or false. This statement is ‘UP TO’ 100% true.Believing this ‘COULD’ change your life (not WILL change your life). Check out advertisements carefully because their wording is NOT promises and WILL stand up in court.

Good visual for the Overton Window. What is wrong with showing more video for context. I have seen what was shown by the committee and what was shown by Tucker. I am hoping all the videos are put on the internet for all to see and then use their brains to determine what happened. Those whose beat cops should be charged with violence against police, those who broke windows, doors, and other furniture be charged with vandalism and the rest just fined for trespassing.

Dear Sojourner: The January 6 riot, even though it was basically a massive temper tantrum by Magatt toddlers who weren’t getting their way, was a dangerous and serious event. People did die. Plus, according to your quote of Federal law, former President Trump should be up on charges since nearly everything he said while in office was a lie. Are you advocating for his incarceration? I could definitely agree with you if so.
