I gotta go all the way to Mexico to clap my hands to sound like a chirping bird when I’ve already been to that country and didn’t like it? Why not have something like that here in Volusia County in Florida? Also, which species of bird is it?

May the Lord be with you as He is with me.

But those are junior high trees. Give them a few years.

Actually some trees are that way to protect themselves from other trees giving them diseases.

Did people at Chichen Itza clap their hands when human sacrifices were done on top of the pyramid there in ancient times?

I wonder if that tree phenomenon happens in dense jungle forests.

Separation of the leaves and branches at the crowns of trees might have a survival advantage by admitting more sunlight lower down to aid in photosynthesis by the leaves there.

And reindeer line up South when flying from the North Pole on Christmas Eve, and then North when flying back home later.

If you’re happy and you know it clap your hands. If you’re happy and you know it stomp your feet. If you’re happy and you know it and you really want to show it if you’re happy and you know it go to the Mayan Kukulkan Pyramid and clap your hands to the echo sounds like a bird chirping. Well it’s silly as can be but heck it’s better than sticking a lit cigar up your nose. Plus there’s a sombrero shop right across the street.

Take care, may loathed smiling travel agent Heather “We’ll Get You The Best Prices On Any Flight If You Don’t Mind A Plane Full Of Karens And Todds” Tripebrainord be with you, and gesundheit.

Now I’m going to have to put Chichen Itza on my bucket list just to hear that phenomenon.

Dogs prefer to face north or south when pooping, according to a study about a decade ago.

So if you get lost in the woods, just follow the deer?

I had read that dogs align themselves in a north-south direction when pooping. Been observing this and I can say definitively that my dog always aligns himself in my flower bed!

You can get the same kind of chirping sound when clapping your hands under the dome at the Palace of Fine Arts in SF

So … deer hunters can easily sneak up on deer from the south, unless the wind is out of the south?

Some trees recede from touch, some are aggressive territorial thrusters. Don’t plant them side by side or you’ll end up with one aggressive tree.

Are the arctic deer aware that the magnetic north is on the move [about 35 mile per year]. Presently it is now drifting away from North America and toward Siberia.

Today’s RBION entry and the comments explain something I’ve always wondered about – why deer and my dogs always carried a compass everywhere they “went”
