Impose higher taxes on the super rich – and increase wages for the most vulnerable segments of society. Protect social security and Medicare. This will help combat poverty homelessness and crime. Invest more on combatting climate change and finding cleaner sources of energy. These are common sense solutions. Do Republicans have any plan other than cut taxes for the ultra wealthy ? Ah yes, they also want to ban books from schools and have jurisdiction over women’s bodies.

It used to be considered desirable to move to California or at least emulate anything California did. Now it’s the exact opposite, people are fleeing California as it’s become a cesspool due to failed leftist policies. More people fled California last year than any other state, but New York wasn’t far behind.

If California were a sovereign nation (2022), it would rank in terms of nominal GDP as the world’s fifth largest economy, behind Germany and ahead of India. —Wikipedia. So, doing something right…?

Let’s not forget the High Sierra, Yosemite, and so many other gorgeous reasons to live in California.

My husband (with family) was transferred for three months to the bay area. I cried all day when we had to leave.

Although I am solidly a New Englander and have no desire to move elsewhere, I would take California in a heartbeat over Alabama, Mississippi, Texas (with the exception of Austin), Kentucky, Florida, and any other red state.

The obnoxious behavior of some of the GOP just shows how ignorant, disrespectful, and classless they really are. They have no clue on how to behave or no respect for the president of the United States!

And they are in the congress?

They show no loyalty and respect to America, its citizens and to the guests at the SOTU address!

    A total embarr-ass-ment ‼️☹️

Wow! That would be great for the USA. The country would be about $5 trillion richer. Our poverty rate is lower than country as a whole(11.5%CA – 12.7% US). In fact with the exception of gas prices and homelessness, we do better on all those metrics than the rest of the country(the food shortage one is a flat out lie).

Plus the capitol would be in Tahoe City on the shores of beautiful Lake Tahoe in the majestic Sierra Mountains. THAT would be a vast improvement.

Mike, don’t bite the hand that signs your welfare checks. Red states are dependent on Blue states for their welfare programs.

Problem with envy, Ramirez? Isn’t that what your side claims when anyone criticizes the inequality of wealth distribution in this nation?

Does Ramirez have the slightest clue as to which states receive more Federal $$ than they send to D.C.?

Thanks for nothing Mike, you plopped DC 20 miles up Hwy 88 from me. Alpine County is a WOKE Progressive enclave in the Sierras, they would love it. I think Frisco would be a better choice, they already have the homeless, junkies and poop in place, so they are ready.
