Thank goodness my blue-eyed girl and I have a rack of dvd’s from the last 60+ years to replace what is called ‘programming’ in this era. Less blood and mayhem and purely vicious behavior and wanton destruction. More laughs, more thoughtful dialogue, relationships resembling something close to normal human behavior, and also a few musicals that demonstrate true talent.

Why is a movie story that is two hours at best now stretched to 8 hours? Hand me that book over there…

I keep sayin’ my favorite TV network has its own button on the remote. It’s not ABC, CBS or NBC, it’s OFF.

Ever notice that ALL programming about black people (sorry..“people of color”) have the people as criminals. No black person is a CEO, banker, or entertainer? “The First 48” has EVERY criminal or murdered person as black. Seems that NO white person is a murderer or is murdered. That is why COPS was dropped. Racial profiling. They NEVER showed a white criminal.

Everyday new programs are announced! The dumb and condescending reality, game, and idiotic sitcoms, talk shows, are dumbing down AMERICA! It’s unbelievable what these networks come up with! The dumber the better!

I prefer PBS and old sitcoms that make me laugh, (Frazier comes to mind! Big Bang Theory, and a few others)

There are a few shows we watch regularly, but I mostly watch the old westerns; tv and movie. We record a lot of shows so we can fast forward through the commercials.

Of course, he’ll need to watch the entire series to be able to write and informed review.

I hardly watch tv at all anymore. I can hardly believe how much time some people spend staring at a screen. After all it’s much more interesting playing on the computer… Umm… Never mind.

To each their own. I stream quite a bit (just ask m’wife) and find lots of quality shows. Just saw a documentary on Leonard Cohen on Netflix last night. Very enlightening. I also read been 40-50 books per year; currently I’m reading Beverly Cage’s bio of J. Edgar Hoover. Also very enlightening (so far). I never understood this either/or mentality and the corresponding “my way is better” vibe that it gives off.
