I’ve a hunch the MacClellans don’t even have a spare house key under the “welcome” mat or in a little box that looks like a rock.

Oh, I can definitely relate as a kid here! You are always getting in trouble for not doing what you’re supposed to – when you finally see an opportunity to do something that is “helpful” – something you KNOW the adults would do but they forgot…Aaand – you find out you weren’t supposed to do that.

They didn’t forget, they left the door unlocked on purpose!

The one time Sterling isn’t trying to burn it all…

Sterling: “Now we HAFTA go caroling and go into other people’s houses!”

Fishing tackle box, screwdriver…jiggle jiggle, there the door is open. Quick, everybody in before Sterling. Slam. Ahhhh

I feel Snug Harbour might be the sort of place where back doors aren’t locked.

Never, never, never leave the house without a house key. Even if you’re only going out to the yard.

Also have a trusted neighbor with a spare.

The beginning of another family memory, and unfortunately a unique family tradition. Where’s a Sasquatch to lift you to to Sterling’s open second floor bedroom window when you need one?

Aaand Sir Chaos is back!

I don’t see an issue here. One house, with windows, two young boys. Add a rock and problem solved.

Looks like the Maclellan’s are sleeping on the fishing boat tonight.

The answer to why Sterling appeared to be uninvolved in some deviltry

Well, the good news is that they should stay plenty warm this winter. Sterling is sure to get a lot of coal!

Shouldn’t be a problem, Wallace always leave the house through his bedroom window….

A good line for sterling should be “ there is no security system because I AM the security system.” That would be good for when robbers break into there house (if that arc does truly exist)

He did something good for a change aaaand..

And so, Sterling joins the mutant goat boy.

And this is just the rehearsal!

Once locked outside of a house about to go to the airport. Well a hayfork makes for a nice ‘key’ to leverage the window up. In in less than 5 minutes and just one window latch to fix.

Visiting a friend in an apartment then when leaving, yes to the airport, we discovered that our young son had locked us all inside; a deadlock that was not used anymore as the key was lost. No hayfork but a hammer made for a nice ‘key’ to leverage the deadlock.

Friends on the 11th floor got locked out of their apartment. Their balcony door was open so I ended up dropping down from the 12th floor and on to their balcony. Sounds scary and dangerous but it was not, the 12th floor was the top floor and hanging of the edge it was just a meter or so down to their balcony floor, no aerobics involved. Also, no flights or leveraging involved.

I wondered when Sterling would strike.

Wallace is looking back on his own wild youth, as the youngster comes up to eclipse it.

Sterling is a piker compared to Ur-Pippi who burned down the house with her father sleeping inside of it laughing and laughing over it.
