It is National Hug Your Peoples Day celebrated at mealtimes. Marmaduke can do the Snoopy Happy Mealtime dance, too.

Phil has his priorities.

The dog is likely far more supportive of him than she is. No nagging, nor ranting, always ready to cuddle or do things together.

Think about it. Dog is man’s best friend. Not his wife, his lover, his girlfriend, his boyfriend, or his husband. DOG is MAN’S best fried. Loyal to the end, and loyal to a fault.

That is why Phil gives Marm a hug.
