That’s why computers have a built in reboot or restart option.

Odlbot’s work report says: “not a self starter.”

I’ve had this, on a webchat with some idiot in ‘techsupport’.

Just another suicide doctor.

Like the picture of the robot stopped at the STOP sign and signs it has been that way for years.

Oldbot should’ve asked for “in person” office visit.

That worked well, Odlbot will not be bothering anyone from now on.

Oldbot needs a manual reboot

I literally had an engineering boss call me at the Renaissance Pleasure Faire where I worked weekends. This was in the days before cellphones were cheap and prevalent. Security had to track me down because he said it was an emergency. The “emergency” was that he couldn’t figure out how to turn on my work computer. Needless to say, I didn’t work for him much longer.

I see a flaw in the plan.

That was MUCH easier than it was with HAL-9000.

Dr. Mel didn’t exactly think this through.

Deja vu. Tried to change my mailing address with a government agency and did the online thing and all was well and good until the website said they had to confirm my identity and they’d be mailing an access code that I’d receive in 5-7 days. Or never, as it turns out.

Note to self – install emergency 2-minute backup power unit on Oldbot

Guess he was too heavy for bootstrapping.

Should have tried a “reset” or “soft boot” first. If that did not work, visit Dr. Mel in person.

Dr. Mel can sometimes be less than brilliant, but if Oldbot couldn’t see the flaw in this plan, he does need an upgrade.

So sadly pathetic.
