    If you’ve been taking depreciation every year, he’s fully depreciated by now. So neither deduction nor business loss. See section 1250 of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code.

    He could always sell him for a huge profit as a collectible item or an antique – but then he’d have to declare a capital gain. (I’m assuming the sale price would be higher than his original cost.)
