Alternatively, Vladimir Putin seems indeed to have taken on the persona of the witch of Slavic children’s nightmares, “Baba Yaga.” (Forgive the RT link.)

The American historian Heather C. Richardson wrote, "Trump expressed admiration for Putin, saying his move to take over parts of Ukraine was “genius.” “Putin declares a big portion of… Ukraine…as independent…. And he’s gonna go in and be a peacekeeper. That’s the strongest peace force I’ve ever seen…. Here’s a guy who’s very savvy.”

The United States has never seen a former President so openly provide aid and comfort to an enemy. While it is true that closed-door discussions about how to respond to naked aggression occur at all levels of the government, never before has the politics extended beyond our borders. The United States has always provided a unified front in times of conflict. Until now.

The selfish and un-American words that trump regurgitated the other night are playing on Russian Media. Why do they need to spend money making propaganda when the loser trump provides Putin more than enough for his own self-centered reasons?

However, Putin does have to be surprised at the united front put together by President Biden and the speed of the reaction. Targeted sanctions have already been levied against individuals and organizations throughout Russia, including Putin’s inner circle and the Duma. Britain, the E.U., and the United States have made it much harder for Putin to fund his war, all without risking American lives or firing a shot.

Now that Russia is in Ukraine, it won’t be easy to extricate them. The difficult job will become even more challenging if people like Tucker & trump keep undermining our public resolve.

The oops-pee-shell is vainly attempting to make a deflection as his handlers have directed them to do. But it’s such a sad attempt.

Это усилия настолько слабы, что это смущение Путину

Russia’s totalitarian leaders have often touted an ideal of Mother Russia with a bent toward a Cossack mentality. But, I remember a line in the TV miniseries called Peter the Great where Alexander said to the young Peter Alexeavich (bad spelling) saying that the people just want some bread and their vodka. And Peter replied that they would think differently when I am czar. Peter, too, like Putin, engaged Russia in territorial gains, plunging them into war, when all they really wanted was a simple life.

With US partisanship at an all-time high, cult-like distrust, disrespect, avoidance of reality, have weakened America’s once indivisible resolve, making it easier than ever for Russia to act aggressively.

Why do US politicians believe that a part can be greater than the whole?

Here’s an idea for a cartoon…………..Putin in front of a map of Ukraine, he draws a border line on the eastern half calling it Novorossiya. Trump draws a sharpie arc encompassing Kiev.
