How will they ever prove him guilty? Maybe if they could come across some kind of recorded phone call.

It really is getting interesting now with the DOJ going through all those documents and subpoenaing the perps for depositions.

How many hundreds of times did Alex Jones plead the 5th in one meeting?

I really don’t see jail ever happening for Trump. I think sending a former president to jail would be too much for our country to bear. What I can foresee is Biden pardoning Trump, just as Ford pardoned Nixon, to help heal the nation and move forward with some hope for a better country.

‘The brazenness is shocking’: Former Trump security official stunned by new coup memo revelations

“It reads like a fictional thriller,” said Foreman. “The inauguration postponed, voting machines seized by the military and Donald Trump’s time extended by weeks. The December 2020 draft executive order could have triggered all of that if it had been signed and enacted before Joe Biden’s win was certified.”

Foreman characterized it as “a patchwork of conspiracy theories and dubious legal arguments previously pushed by Team Trump.”

“The sheer brazenness and illegality of it all is shocking,” said Krebs. “This is a violation of a restriction on using federal troops for domestic law enforcement action.”

Trump declares himself victor of 2024 election while teeing off at golf course

In video posted online and reported on by far-right Breitbart News and Russian state-owned media Sputnik, Trump is seen teeing off at Trump National Golf Course while wearing a red “Make America Great Again” hat.

The narrator says "now on the tee the 45th president of the United States.”

“The 45th and 47th," Trump replies, before addressing the ball.

Just when I was about to credit my fellow intelligent and honest posters for ignoring the dishonest imbecile Montana Swill, they went ahead and replied to him. Some days I think there ought to be twice as many “Don’t Feed the Trolls” signs in here as there are “Don’t Feed the Bears” signs in Yellowstone Park…..About the toon itself: It’s hard to count how many DIFFERENT attempts Traitor Trump (and his handlers) made to try to over-throw our democratic republic. The lawsuits which were laughed right out of court. Fake electors. Traitor Flynn’s advvice to declare martial law (which luckily was ignored—though IF the mob of traitors had hanged Mike Pence, martial law might well have been declared). The attempt to get the military to seize voting machines—luckily enough people threatened to resign to shoot THAT down. And, of course, the mob of traitors storming the Capitol. All of this BESIDES Traitor Trump’s CLEARLY illegal attempt to gin up fake votes for himself in Georgia.

With Justice Breyer retiring, the Supreme Court will be down to only 7 Catholics and 1 Jew. President Biden has said he’d like to appoint a Black woman to the court. But the court has already had both Black people and women on it. (They’re on it now, in fact.) If he really wanted to break new ground, he’d appoint an atheist, thereby recognizing for the first time in American history what a quarter of the nation’s population has already independently concluded for themselves — that important decisions are best based on facts, not feelings or mythologies.

‘Unbelievable’: White House reporter smacks down Eric Trump’s claim his father worked ‘24 hours a day’

These people are not present," he said. “The difference between them and my father, my father sat there 24 hours a day.”

The comments caught the eye of Huffington Post correspondent S.V. Dáte, who quickly called it out as a lie — and pointed out that Donald Trump spent very little time doing work compared to any other chief executive in modern times.

When Trump was in the White House, he was infamous for spending large chunks of the day blacked out for “executive time” where he would do little except relax, watch TV and sometimes rant on social media. Trump also spent a considerably large fraction of his presidency away from the White House at his Mar-a-Lago country club, which his aides euphemistically referred to as the “Winter White House,” and lives there in his post-presidency.

US prosecutors investigate Republicans who sent fake Trump electors to Congress

Federal prosecutors have launched an investigation into the attempt by Republicans in seven presidential battleground states won by Joe Biden in 2020 to subvert the election result by sending bogus slates of Donald Trump electors to Congress.

The ploy was one of the central tactics used by Trump loyalists as part of the “big lie” that he had defeated his Democratic challenger. The fake slates of electors were forwarded to congressional leaders, who then came under pressure to delay certification of Biden’s victory on 6 January 2021, the day of the Capitol insurrection.

Fake slates of Trump electors were sent to Congress from seven states in fact won by Biden – Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, New Mexico, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Of those, two – New Mexico and Pennsylvania – added the caveat that the Trump electors should only be counted in the event of a disputed election.

QAnon follower who attacked police at Capitol gets prison

A man who identified himself as a believer in the QAnon conspiracy theory was sentenced on Wednesday to three years and eight months in prison for assaulting police officers at the Capitol during last year’s riot.

Nicholas Languerand called himself a patriot, but the judge who sentenced him said the rioters who invaded the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, don’t deserve that description.

“The patriots were the police officers who were defending the Capitol building and our democratic values,” U.S. District Judge John Bates said before handing down one of the longest prison sentences for a Capitol rioter so far.

Languerand, 26, also told the judge that he was a QAnon follower. The conspiracy theory centers on the baseless belief that former President Donald Trump was waging a secret fight against a Satan-worshipping, child-sacrificing cabal of “deepstate” foes, prominent Democrats and Hollywood elites.

Another core belief of QAnon adherents is that Trump would orchestrate mass arrests, military tribunals and executions of his enemies. QAnon has been linked to a string of violent crimes. The FBI has warned law enforcement that conspiracy theory-driven extremists have become a domestic terrorism threat.

“It was never meant to be something violent,” said Languerand, who pleaded guilty to a felony assault charge in November.

NY Attorney General Tish James says Trump changed his mind about her investigation into his company only after being subpoenaed for a deposition

New York Attorney General Letitia James asked a judge to toss Donald Trump’s lawsuit against her.

Trump wants to end her long-running investigation into the Trump Organization’s finances.

James said in the filing that Trump is just trying to wriggle out of giving a deposition.

New York Attorney General Letitia James asked a federal judge to dismiss former President Donald Trump’s lawsuit seeking to halt her investigation into his company’s finances, claiming he filed the lawsuit only so that he could wriggle his way out of taking a deposition.

Kinda telling that no-willie keeps quoting Spiro Agnew. Who was arrested, prosecuted, and copped out to a plea deal regarding tax evasion and cheating on his taxes. The idiot just loves supporting crooks, grifters, and thieves. Typical reThuglican. And his attempts at deflecting topics and turning to immigration are pretty damned racist too.

Just another Turd Reich slime ball just like all the rest of the idiots in that party.
