The sad part is that the one who encouraged it, the fuhrer, Here trump, has not gone on trial yet! That is the ultimate in disrespect to the brave officers who fought to stop the Coup D’etat, especially the officer who died on that day! Goodnight and Good luck.

There is hardly any adult in the USA who doesn’t have an opinion about what happened that day. And the astounding thing to me is that about 30%, more or less, believe an outright lie about what it was.

Alas, the supporters of the Orange Reaper will also call it Treason Day, the day Mike Pence committed treason against the Dear Leader. So you can use it as a day to bring about national unity! All sides can come together in the snow/winter sunshine for drinks and a BBQ, happy that each side is celebrating their version of truth, only one of which the standards meets observable reality!

[For clarity, I knew it was the riot that was treason, not the Vice-Pres. Sometime hard here to tell the black hats from the white hats and sarcasm/humour from RWNJ politics.]

Odd that no one has been charged with treason or sedition for what happened in Jan 6. Real charges include: trespassing (most common), vandalism, assault, and interference with the procedures going on (can’t remember precise wording). One person died. Unarmed. Going through broken window. No warning. What I saw on video seemed like she was not making any threatening move. What happened was wrong, but not up to the hype so many put on it.

Get certain people firmly back in power, and agents in their “Ministry of Truth” will work tirelessly to lessen if not erase the true impact of that day. Will there someday be a real-life sequel to “1984”? Are we living now the opening chapters?

Not one person was found guilty of treason….this is what happens when a fake president stacks the courts in his favor. It’s treasonist NOT to INDICT them!

There are too many “within” our system that are still planning a coup….civil war is on the horizon

Aren’t judges supposed to be impartial?

in todays political climate, they ARE NOT!

Seem the evil has taken hold of DC and it’s former evil-doers!

Tens of millions poo-pooh that an insurrection took place and the Select Committee is just political to punish the orange messiah. It’s not difficult to understand their mind set. The U.S. has always had a head-in-the-sand approach to resolving complicated issues, which is why systemic racism, Covid, global warning, etc. continue.

Evidently your AG Merrick Garland is going to make a speech later today.. presumed to be about tomorrow Jan 6th. Pretty sure he is going to say.. it was an unfortunate event, but let’s let the past go. Charging all the participants is becoming too expensive and disruptive to moving on so.. clemency/forgiveness to all.

Prominent former evangelical: ‘Authoritarian Christianity’ at the heart of the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol

The report explained that some who participated in the event were brought to Washington, D.C. as part of the “Jericho March,” a group that was “imitating the siege of the city of Jericho by the Israelites described in the book of Joshua in the Hebrew Bible.”

The day before the attack, Christianity Today reported that the group was attending the riot to “pray for a Trump miracle.” The story cited Southern Baptist author and Bible teacher Beth Moore and author and First Amendment lawyer David French as being among the few willing to speak out against the ways in which the evangelical community has canonized Trump.

“I have never seen anything in these United States of America I found more astonishingly seductive & dangerous to the saints of God than Trumpism,” Moore said on Twitter in 2020. “This Christian nationalism is not of God. Move back from it.”

What kind of person calls for spilling blood in defense of a political cause for which he does not care if any factual justification exists? What kind of person compares doubters to Nazi collaborators? A religious zealot, that’s the kind. The only way one can justify that hysterical stance is if one conflates religion with politics, and politics with religion."

Trump may have canceled Jan. 6 presser due to Sean Hannity’s ‘betrayal’: CNN reporter

Former president Donald Trump may have canceled his Jan. 6 press conference after learning that Fox News host Sean Hannity was “talking behind his back” in the days before and after the Capitol insurrection, according to CNN reporter Jamie Gangel.

“Whether or not Sean Hannity cooperates with the committee, and I would argue he’s not going to want to, this is very bad news for Donald Trump,” Gangel said of the text messages. “When he looks at these texts from his friend Sean Hannity to his former chief of staff Mark Meadows … this is betrayal. These are the people around him talking about him behind his back and talking about that they’re worried about his state of mind, what’s happening, that Sean Hannity is afraid that the White House counsel is just going to walk away and quit. So I think you really have to think about why Donald Trump canceled his press conference for Thursday. It seemed to come right after this news came out.”

Interesting drivel from the Turd Reich trolls today.

One racist downplayed the significance of the day by comparing it to something he made sound very insignificant, Juneteenth – which commemorates the time slaves in Texas finally were told about The Emancipation Proclamation (over two years after it was made! – is that really his idea of “So what? No big deal?” and a complete disregard for the continued illegal bondage of slaves? No doubt we’ll soon hear the “Buh… Buh… Buh I’m not a racist! I know somebody with different colored skin.”)

Then we get the moronic downplaying bordering on denial of another troll. “Nothing to see here” as Frank Drebin stands in front of the blazing building with all the fireworks going off in the background, except that fool really means it.

Then there’s the usual Big Lie propaganda try to pass off more BS from no-willie, disregarding the treasonous events while at the same time saying the committee and the prosecutors should be called out for doing their jobs. Hey no-willie, how ‘bout they give at least one go at it or did y’all forget about the 33 times and millions upon millions y’all spent on Benghazi and still can’t talk about without a gallon or two of spittle?

And of course there’s the babbling and raving of the muliti-personality Turd Reich Twit. Incoherent as usual.

But they’re not fascists or racists or just plain nuts. Emperor Tang told ’em so.

Trump advisor Peter Navarro is now doing a media tour to promote his book. He is claiming that there was a legal way to reject electoral votes that they “believed” were invalid, despite all of the rejected court cases, audits disproving the Trumpers’ claims, etc. Navarro says he has no idea who is behind the insurrection (yeah, right) and that it ended up spoiling their plans.

Confiscate any of the earnings he gets from his book because he is promoting treason by trying to overturn a legitimate election.

‘Do the exact opposite!’ Steve Bannon explodes at Trump for canceling Jan. 6 press conference

Bannon expressed anger at Graham and other Republican senators.

“If they are telling you not to do something, do the exact opposite!” he exclaimed. “They’re not your friends and allies because they’ve drafted off your coattails forever and put the knife into you and cut you up a million ways from Sunday.”

Stinking traitor Bannon who was pardoned for his felonies by Trump is still trying to bring down the legitimate government of the USA.

What some disgraceful posters call “patriotism”:

The fighting — so primitive and ferocious that one Capitol Police officer described it as “medieval” and another as a “trip to hell” — left about 140 law enforcement personnel injured, some beaten with their own weapons. Video cameras captured the violence live, rioters clubbing officers with flag poles and fire extinguishers, even squeezing one between doors as he begged for his life. —Associated Press
