May I suggest some of those “Black Friday” lineups. On TV we see lots of confrontations, seems any one of those could be an excuse to do a little fun shooting.
Here is a scenario. I hear about a neo-nazi rally being planned for Milwaukee, Nazis scare me, so I drive the two days it takes to get there from Pennsylvania and gun down a few because “I felt threatened”. No problem, right? I walk?
If Rittenhouse gets off (gets no punishment for killing two people and trying to kill a third) then we have a precedent for getting away with murder: go ahead and kill, then turn around and shoot at your pursuers because “you’re defending yourself”. Although, this new privilege only applies to white males who support alt-right causes…
Drunk drivers usually don’t intend to kill anybody, but they are held responsible for whatever results from their bad decision. In the same way, it doesn’t matter to me whether Rittenhouse thought his life was in danger. He should be held responsible for what resulted from his decision to illegally procure a firearm and travel to that situation. As should his mommy and daddy, for not stopping their little dearie.
Since the defendant was a minor at the time of the incident, maybe it should be the parents or responsible adults that should be part of the trial as well, as the person(s) that got him the gun. But as one person noted on the news, only three people were shot that day and all by the same person.
Let’s see… a 17 year old kid armed with an AR-15 type weapon goes to a protest and is shoots 3 people, killing 2 of them. He then claims self-defense. In court he cries and says he did nothing wrong and shows no remorse. This is very dark theater of the absurd. It will be interesting to see if he gets away with this.

He looks much smarter than Rittenhouse.

If the judge had his way this would all be legal.

Now Rittenhouse’s mom is asking for people to help pay his legal expenses. Anyone contributing to that is a fool!!!

A child wild in the street should be reviled, not styled as mild. May the jurors not be Kyle beguiled.

Tired of white guys taking guns places, picking a fight, then shooting the victim when they pee their pants and get scared.

Apparently, some folks — like Judge Bruce Schroeder — haven’t matured beyond their age 17 views of the world.

No, but we had a recent oil spill in the river. Do you think you can shoot it clean?

Oh, but Kyle didn’t go there to start trouble. He only went to help people. And his mum agrees with what he did.

For his next act, Kyle will take a can of gasoline to a fire, in self defense, of course.

I recommend Texas or Florida. Down there, they return fire.

I wonder if they’re going to prosecute the idiot that bought him the gun?

Mom said he would be dead if he didn’t have the gun – two people died because he did have the gun. Fuzzy math.

KR carried a gun across state lines from Illinois to Wisconsin. That is illegal.
It’s illegal for a 17-year old to carry any type of gun in Wisconsin.
Even if he wasn’t a minor, carrying a rifle requires a hunting certificate, which he did not apply for or receive.

Remember back in the day when Republicans were screaming that if there was ever an active shooter in a public place, everyone should charge him?

It takes a real lowlife to make a cartoon out of a senseless tragedy.
