In High School you will always get at least one teacher that you had before.

When i was going from Junior High to High School several teachers also change as well. Of course it was a brand new school. It would also be the first school for me that would be air condition. I’m sure that had nothing to do with it.

I hope that the teacher isn’t Tim Allen.

I never had a clean slate. I knew my 3rd grade teacher because my family bought maple syrup from her family’s business, My 5th grade and 6th grade teacher had dated my older brother when they were in high school and lived down the road from us. When i was a couple years older I worked for her during the summer detassling corn etc. I also worked for several of my high school teachers, and even had one teacher who went to high school with and had dated my mother at one point back in the 1950’s. Everyone knew me before they taught me or at least seemed to.

My younger daughter started her junior year in high school, and she has started almost every class answering the question, “How’s your sister doing in college?” Heck, even some teachers her sister DIDN’T have have asked! Thankfully, my younger one doesn’t mind. (Incidentally, there hasn’t been a single teacher that has compared them, although there WAS one teacher who kept calling the younger one by her sister’s name accidentally. Once again, she didn’t mind; she’s pretty chill that way.)

haha, you can always tell the writer/s like a teacher character when they “Mister Feeny” after the students to each new school. Lynn here clearly realized it had to be a new school for Elizabeth, but couldn’t get rid of Miss Edwards.

PS is that Caitlin or whomever in these strips? The friend who Liz kept all the way through college? I forget her original appearance.

Has Ms Edwards always been in a wheelchair? If so, why?

Opps! The ghost of Christmas past just rolled up. I wonder if it is a promotion or a punishment?

If you have an older sibling, your slate isn’t always clean. I had two step-sisters but the older was already out of the house when our folks married. But the younger step-sister was still in high school. She complained that she’d go into a class, the teacher would see her last name and ask, “Was so-and-so your sister?” and know she was marked. Apparently her big sister was a real cut-up in high school. Elizabeth may have to deal with some of Michael’s reputation.

In the 8th grade I had a teacher that for whatever reason didn’t like me and I her couldn’t wait till I got to HS so I never had her again Wrong in my senior year look at my schedule and lo and behold guess who my teacher was yep it was her. Even though didn’t have her in HS my sixth grade teacher also was at the school.

By the the time I got out of high school…Most of the teachers knew I didn’t give a damn…After I got out of the Navy, and went to college , I had a 4.0 grade average…They started to teach at my I.Q. LEVEL…

    Still a smart ass punk….

I suspect that I’m the only reader here who sees the potential irony in the first sentence, at least without reading this one.
