Such a weird unsettling time. And when people would say those would be the best days of my life I was in despair. They weren’t, by far. I still talk to a few people but I never went to a reunion. I would have liked to see a teacher or two but heard they didn’t go either. High school is the worst.

Max is a real handful. It is too bad there was no real age progression in this strip. Twenty years of a 2 year old is a lot for anyone.
So busy recording it they are missing out on having fun themselves.
I always played records or watched TV or did it with a friend over the phone. Homework always struck me as a waste of time so I multitasked.
My guess is she goes to,school tomorrow and BO is over. Because that is how nuts kids and fashion are.
Did Wally suddenly lose his self-sufficiency when he got married to Joan? Or did he do the thing my dad did when, after marrying in his late 30s, seemingly forgot all basic survival skills and left all domestic things to my mom? After being on his own since 16! Wally knew Joan was a flake. He needs to step it up last Val does indeed change the locks.
We are lucky that the worst cook in our family usually just brings the wine or dessert from the bakery.
And so the fashion wars begin for Elizabeth. Wouldn’t want to be that age again.
Unless Val’s late husband was another Leroy, which I doubt, he wouldn’t let her go either. Poor Val. Does it ever say how old the girls were when their dad died? I don’t remember.
