Was it a waste of money? Well, it wasn’t directly taxpayer money (although most billionaires don’t pay much, including Trumpsky), but there was a huge amount of information gained. Compare the dollars with only a few days in the Bush Wars in the Middle East, and a rocket is money well spent.
Whine all you want about billionaires and taxes, it’s the loopholes that allow them to not pay much if anything. Talk to your congress critters about closing the holes.
The Bush wars started by Clinton’s ill-advised (his military advisors didn’t like it) strike against Osama bin Laden with subsonic cruise missiles. Far enough inland so that smoke signals could have warned bin Laden the missiles were coming.
That is when Osama decided to do 9/11.
I guess Bill was thinking more about his office BJs than foreign policy.
I posted this yesterday and it applies today also…So much to explain…why we let billionaires’ vacation in space when our country is burning because of climate change; why we sent troops to Iraq when the terrorists were from Saudi Arabia; why the Supreme Court decided corporations were people; etc.

So what taxes weren’t paid? Do you strive to pay the minimal amount of money in local, county, state, and federal taxes? Nothing illegal about it.
That’s what you get when you have an 80,000+ page tax law that even the IRS can’t keep straight.

Railroads were built the same way. Let’s see how the tune changes when we start mining asteroids and the cost of a cell phone is $10

Let’s rename the 50 miles and near above zone as the Vanityonosphere.
