Mr. Yo Pimp Daddy has an opening on the morning shift. Experience as a tight end helpful on the resume.

What happened to Papa Burns over night? Yesterday he was a vibrant looking 40 something, today he looks like Heather’s Grandpa (does he have a van?) and resembles pie-eating Ed from the last story arc

What the hell’s going on out there!?!

I hear Assistant Industrial Solvent Salesperson jobs have pretty flexible hours. As long as the applicant’s flexible herself.

We can see it now as Heather improves offensive line play by giving Coach Steve Boone a hand. Or two. While Heather is seeking gainful employment, Gil talks Head Pro John Jawor into letting Heather be the drink cart girl at MCC. Wanting to make some tips, she overserves Hendricks and his lackeys, setting up for end of the Summer tear jerker, Part II.

(Another) bold prediction: while job seeking and waiting for football practice to start, Heather caddies to earn some cash, in the process, she loops on Hendrix’s bag and observes his hustle, sniffs his solvents, falls in love, takes some golf lessons and quickly discovers she’s got game, Hendrix dumps bucket head as his partner in crime in favor of his sweetheart who is eye candy for unsuspecting dupes and they proceed to take their lucrative scam on the road and live happily ever after

Plus the eight Friday nights. Gil worked out a great deal with the Milford Athletic Director where he only is required to show up for two games.

P1, Dad had time to age 30 years and change shirts since yesterday.

P2, Being lowest on the coaching totem pole also means you’ll be the only coach that has to show up at every game. Gil believes in giving his assistants plenty of experience.

P3, The Copywrite Cafe is always looking for help, or you could apprentice for Mo at the diner, The Bucket is a possibility and you’ll get to celebrate with the team while getting paid or, that sleazy bar on the wrong side of the tracks where Marty hangs out can always use a waitress.

This is confusing. Let’s assume there was a gap between yesterday’s strip and today’s. Yesterday she told her dad, today she told her grandfather, who apparently needs her assistance every afternoon to drive him to Bingo or something. Now if this is a continuation of yesterday’s conversation, they moved from outside the front of their house to the woods, Dad or Grandpa’s hair coloring expired in an instant, and he changed shirts during the conversation. Which happens in this strip quite often actually.

And speaking of happenings, you’ll want to check out what’s happening at Mopped Up Thorp: https://moppedupthorp.wordpress.com/

I like the colored versions for Mopped Up but I agree with a lot of posters that they should bring back the B&W strip, Hard enough to recognize these characters by the way they are drawn and now you have to deal with them dying their hair, using colored contact lenses and changing their clothes multiple times in a day.

Hmm, that’s kind of an evil leer in P3. Does Dad/Grandpa need Heather for some nefarious reason every afternoon? Will we have dueling villains, Dad/Grandpa and Hendricks? Probably not, he’s too clean shaven.
