Agree with you on the colorizing, but still have a hard time believing that a professional artist would go righty/lefty on consecutive drawings but maybe Rod is dyslexic.

Agree that the audience, time and money involved in this comic strip is micro, more than micro…where we disagree is that you feel the artwork inconsistencies are due to incompetence where as I feel the writer and artist are just having fun with us (I think I’ll just change the colors or just change him to a lefty today and I bet no one notices)…it’s all part of the new Gil Thorp

So Rod is such an inept professional artist that he draws a righty and then minutes later draws a lefty and thinks nothing of it. Nothing in his mind says I just drew a righty and this is a continuous strip so the next strip is a righty?

So then at this point in his career he’s probably just having fun screwing with everybody and laughing his a$$ off!

Take sports out of it, I don’t see how an artist with zero knowledge of baseball would draw a righty and then a lefty on back to back strips. They were probably drawn within minutes of each other so why would an artist reverse it? A professional artist would never do this, especially on a consistent basis unless they were just having fun and doing it on purpose.

It should be obvious to everyone by now that these daily inconsistencies are done on purpose to get some readers to keep coming back and finding them and commenting on them. An artist would never draw a righty and a lefty on back to back days if not on purpose. It’s a clickbait world and time for me to move on from GT.

No, that’s actually drawn well….when you are angled out like that you should keep your right hand behind your back so it doesn’t get hit with a foul tip.
