Yah, I checked last night and in the U.S. the very BEST record for vaccine delivery does not reach 32% yet. I’m vaccinated but will wait for 80 to 90% reported before I stop wearing mask and gloves.

Viruses can go away – if you try hard enough. World apparently eliminated smallpox as a disease… Except it turned out both the US & the USSR kept some for ‘purely scientific research’ (read: to weaponize). It can be done, if you work really, really hard (and get the vaccine – rather than believing the 3rd grade drop-out who assures you that health is a Communist plot and if you get the vaccine it will give your cat cancer – I have heard dumber reasons than that).

The problem is that viruses mutate easily, so new ones will always be coming out. How many variant versions of covid-19 have been identified so far?

People who won’t mask, won’t distance, won’t vaccinate, except for the few who genuinely can’t, are freeloaders, relying on the rest of us to keep them alive and well while doing nothing in return except wasting oxygen better breathed by someone else. The rot they spout about freedom, trust, blah, blah, blah is just the smokescreen to cover their arrant selfishness. OK, you won’t mask? You won’t distance? You won’t vaccinate? Fine, we’ve got a job for you on the ICU janitorial team.

“You don’t trust vaccines?” I have less faith in you than I do in vaccines. I’ve had all my shots except for sarcasm and anger. Still waiting their development.

Not getting the vaccine leaves you vulnerable to a virus that makes you give all of your money to a large Orange Guy with a bad haircut.

Clearly this strip was done weeks ago. The US is now moving into a new surge and as far as case numbers go, things are much worse right now than they were a year ago. It’s going to be a long time, probably months, until enough people are vaccinated to make a noticeable difference.

Last I heard there were only 2 Small Pox cultures left in the world. The US CDC had 1 and a Russian lab had 1. The discussion was for the 2 countries to agree to destroy their culture. If they did, Small Pox would be the first virus to go extinct. Polio may become the second.

I urge people to get their shots. I got mine and the only problem they gave me was the same one I have from flu shots…they turned me into a GIANT BLUE CHICKEN!

    But I got better…….

A different strand of virus is spreading fast and much stronger. I heard a vaccine will not work.

Since the covid vaccine wasn’t available, I got the MMR vaccine. Maybe it helped; we should know the results of the ongoing study this summer. It didn’t hurt and it’s been available all over all along.

Every person refusing to get the covid vaccines is granting the virus more time to come up with more variants more likely to be able to bypass those vaccines. That refusal endangers all of us and it is unethical.
