I see there are still some gold diggers in Alaska.

The real problem is that this is not always a joke. There are daft judges out there that make these sorts of decisions. :P

Please tell me this isn’t true. That judge needs to get pulled from the bench. And, the wife needs to get her own life.

Stupid judge! And all she thinks about how the woman will survive? Duh

…something horribly “real” about that…

Satire, dark humour, whatever you want to call it, folks. Not real life since it’s not an editorial cartoon, it’s meant to be funny…and it is, albeit grudgingly. Don’t be so pc, lighten up. After all, this is Herman!!

I think it’s meant to be acerbic as most of the Herman cartoons are.

She must have had the same attorney and judge as my last ex!

Couple with two children divorced. Ex-wife was awarded a large amount monthly that ex-husband said he couldn’t afford. His attorney contested amount several times, but couldn’t get it changed. Legal and other bills piling up, not allowed to see his kids, he decided to represent himself, and talked the judge into lowering the amount almost by half. On his way out of the courthouse, he ran into his former attorney and told her about his success. Surprised, she asked him how he did it. He replied, “If you want me to tell you that, I’ll have to charge you”.

The judge should make her pay him alimony!

How she gonna live on $1000, I’m guessing she won’t.

He’s one tough dude if he’s a quadriplegic living alone anywhere.

I could see that kind of a judge’s ruling in California but not Alaska.

About today’s strip, what wasn’t mentioned is that the Judge is thr guy she ran away with.

AND a Vet getting 12k a month pension is definatly a fantasy.

Why is no one upset that a disabled veteran has to live on 12k/year?

I know a girl that her boyfriend broke her 3 yo son’s neck. The boy is now a vegetable.Republican judge set bond for the boyfriend at $2,500. Over a year ago and the ex-boyfriend has yet to go to trial. Note that the Republican DA is furious. But there’s nothing he can do.
