So now that a new President has taken over from the last administration, which disbanded and discarded pandemic relief resources as well as pulling support from both the CDC and the WHO…the same administration which had no plan whatsoever for any national pandemic response or vaccine rollout and distribution…the administration which passed on opportunities to acquire more vaccine…the administration which misappropriated funds earmarked for purchase of said vaccines…
…now, only now that there is a new administration is it finally time to criticize how badly America has failed in the attempt to deal with the deadliest crisis in our lifetime.
At least now we have an actual President_ in office who doesn’t sit around complaining that everyone is complaining about covid and he’s so sick of hearing about it!
At least now we have an actual President who cares about human suffering beyond his own and works hard to do something about it!
Well, it was delivered to the new administration “Full assembly required” Just like most of tRump’s grand ideas that died just about as fast as the rally cheers after he announced them.
Wasn’t there a Star Trek NG episode where the Enterprise did come to a halt with those sound effects? What I can’t recall is if that was one of the episodes with Q.
Trump totally failed in his handling of the pandemic. He was only interested in promoting things that would make him richer. Nothing else was of interest to him, even if it meant that thousands of Americans would die.
What did you expect from the guy who brought you trump university and the trump foundation? His incompetence is staggering. The only question is how Republicans could support him, even now.
The private/public portion of things went amazingly well. The pieces handled solely by government bureaucracy (fed, state and local)? Not so much. The last mile has been a problem in many places.
There is no way Mike would have printed this cartoon two weeks ago. He had to wait until Biden was President before he criticized the federal government.
Insufficient doses, no distribution plan, insufficient syringes/needles to give injections. Should have drawn those as Trump meteors striking the ship, Mr. Ramirez.
Ha, Trump begged his followers to support his legal efforts to overthrown the election and they donated $175 million to the effort. Trump put $10 million into the challenges and pocketed the other $165 million. What genius! What a businessman!
Ramirez’s criticism of the “Warp Speed” program designed and named by Trump is misleadingly attributed, by implication, to Biden, making it clear to anyone with an iota of common sense that Ramirez’s agenda is not to alert readers to the truth, but to cause dissension. That in and of itself demonstrates that Ramirez is not a political pundit with integrity, but a shill for liars of all stripes.
Biden has been in office for 12 days, why hasn’t he fixed four years of vicious lying republican covid spreading racist anti democracy election rigging mismanagement yet?
Well, Trump has been known to say thing, then not follow through on them. Biden has inherited the proverbial empty cabinets, and it’s amazing what he has been able to get done in the little time he’s been in office. However, what he can’t do is snap his fingers and make nearly a years worth of indifference and do nothing about Covid go away.
Ramirez is like someone who finds an injured man in the garden, drags him through a briar patch and along a broken sidewalk, by a rope around the man’s foot, to a hospital and then complains that the man is not fully recovered that evening.
Mayday, Mayday . . . we’ve been hit by a Jewish Space Laser . . . Call that Q-Anon Senator and tell her to ask Trump to help us deliver the vaccines that he never had.
The Republicans are more disorganized than usual. In the past, you could pretty much count on the same mantra across the conservative media, down to Hannity and Beck repeating the same sentences verbatim—as if they had all come to the same exact conclusion and the same exact way of stating it within hours of each other. Now, they can’t decide if Biden is lazy “sleepy Joe” doing nothing or if he is a maniac overriding the government with his excessive executive orders. They are in disagreement as to whether the election was rigged. They are not working out of the same playbook on the same page anymore. There’s a disturbance in the force.
I think both sides share the blame – i don’t remember Pelosi and Company ever saying: Mr. President and members of the Senate: How did an we work together to speed up the vaccine dispersal?

Just like everything Trump touched, it was a facade, a TV backdrop, meant to look real but fake/fake/fake. Underpowered and overpromised.

There shouldn’t be an “A” after NCC 1701. They didn’t start using letters until the second starship Enterprise.

That is what happens to the Trump “Enterprise” when you add the Biden “anchor”!
