There are still plenty around. And I have squirrels on my windowsills taunting the cat.

Very poignant! And kinda sad!

Swallows often built a nest on our porch when I was a kid. Our several cats would wait under the nest for the young swallows to make their first and maybe last flight.

Shouldn’t the cat be clawing at the screen? (We lose more good laptops that way…)
