    Skipper =Gluttony/Rage

    Professor = Pride

    Ginger =Lust

    Mr. Howell = Greed

    Mrs. Howell = Sloth

    Mary Ann = Envy

    And Gilligan was the Devil, tormenting them all every week!

    Dan might be slipping. Does anyone think we should tell him the name of the show was Gilligan’s Island?:-)

    When did the U.S. Navy have heavy bombers?

    Ridiculous. The Professor would disarm it with a bamboo straw, a belt buckle and tweezers carved from coconut. Did you not even watch the show? :) :)

    Great idea for an episode of “Skipper’s Island”!

    I’ll say Atom or Uranium bomb. Those are easier to build. Though the casing looks clean unless they hauled it out of the lagoon after a hurricane blew it into it an cleaned it up. I can see that as an episode with the Professor (the Spock of this group) filled them in on the device. It is only at the end they find out they were never in danger. [The radiation detected by the Professor’s Geiger-Muller counter he rigged from parts of the radio fooled them. Just trace amounts for authenticity sake.]

    They heard news reports of the Navy searching for something after the squall hit a nuclear reservation on a nearby island. They warn the lost bomb “could go off”.

    (Hint it is a dummy warhead made up for tests. The detonator is struck several times before it depresses. No cascade reaction and explosion.)

    When the radio is put back together the news reports inform the that they find the missing bomb and that the others were just dummies for their tests.

    That should’ve been the first episode of that ridiculous show.

    Long ago I read that the castaways weren’t rescued during the regular run of the show, because the producers and the network execs feared that if they wrapped up the story, nobody would watch it in syndication. I believe it.
