Trump today threatened the head of the CDC is approval was not granted, with the intention of adding to the distrust of the vaccine.

We HOPE Trump will not sabotage the virus responses any more. We HOPE.

And, of course, Dummy Donnie didn’t order enough when he had the chance.

Sadly, the biggest issue the USA faces with a vaccine is that at least 49% of people who voted for Trump say they won’t get the vaccine “because our leader tells us COVID is hoax”. That is abase number of 36,750,000 people who may refuse inoculation plus family members too young to vote. Add to that your garden variety anti vaxxers, 5G nutters and assorted alternate theory believers. What is faced is perhaps not enough people being vaccinated to attain herd benefits. I mean for goodness sakes you have Evangelical leaders telling their followers not to accept the vaccine because it is not “God’s will”. Good luck

Just a glimmer, I’m afraid. Real hope would be when:

• EVERYONE trusted vaccines, masks, washing hands, and distancing as effective/necessary

• vaccines were not encumbered by patents and ultra-low temperature storage

• the world worked together to stop invisible respiratory infections by following expert advice

• people realized that not all enemies can be seen and stopped with a bullet or a wall

• healthcare is a right, not a privilege

just think. Of the 70 million who voted for Trump and then gave him $200 million to to attempt a coup, how many do you suppose are also anti vaxers?

2021 is going to be an excellent year: No Trump soon and no Covid-19 eventually.

Just hope we can all get a dose. I have no idea where I am on any list. But I have two problems that should I get infected and if I have the heterozygous ACE I/D recessive it will kill me. That is the next hurdle, getting everyone vaccinated. All those who don’t want to for whatever reason need to be moved and quarantined till they do or they die. This is a matter of national health not freedom to infect.

It might be a Clinton vaccine – but what ever it is, keep it on ice, dry ice, until use.
