I wish a fifty/fifty split on such matters were even possible in today’s GOP.
But as of yesterday… DING DING DING! Survey says… Less than three dozen Republicans in the House and Senate combined are willing to say that Biden won and won fairly.
The Republican elephant may be compared in some ways to The Soldier in White, the strange recurring character in the dark-humor satiric novel, CATCH-22.
It is a patient wrapped entirely in gauze cast except for a hole around the mouth for a thermometer. A feeding tube from a suspended bottle leads into the cast; a draining tube leads out to another bottle. The nurses dutifully keep the cast clean, and at intervals switch positions of the bottles.
The other patients in the hospital are mystified and queasy about it. Eventually The Soldier in White is found dead. But soon, to the patients’ horror, another Soldier in White appears in the same bed.
If there is a contemporary political satire comparable to the power of the military satire in CATCH-22 — please lead me to it. If none — somebody please write it!
They told us, Hugo Chavez was dead…but, how do we know for sure? I saw a guy who looked, just like Hugo, working at the deli counter the other day. Explain that.
Trump’s making sure he further embarrasses the country and leaves it in chaos for the Biden Administration just like a petulant child who breaks all the toys so no one can play with them. Or a better description, he’s implementing the most scorched earth policy he can muster. I hope our allies will forgive us someday.
Republicans don’t need proof.. ever. An accusation is all that is required to drum up an appeal for funds/support.. with emphasis on funds. trump is raking in a slush fund at the moment the likes of which have never been seen or imagined possible.
How about the republican lawyer who lives in Florida encouraging republicans who live in other states to register to vote in the Georgia special election in January. He registered to vote using a relative’s address in Georgia. Yes, he did actually register to vote in Georgia. Why is it, that whenever vote rigging is discovered it always seems to be republicans doing it?
If they can’t be bothered to produce any evidence whatsoever in a court of law, then they either don’t care about this supposed fraud or the know they’re lying. Either way, they show themselves to be unworthy of further consideration.
Do I have this right—Publicans loudly complain about election fraud but are unable to produce a single credible case to back it up . . . while loudly insisting that states disregard the voters’ preference?
Hey, has anyone ever noticed that the Republicans, who are so quick to scream religious discrimination at the drop of a hat and go on at great lengths about the “War on Christmas”, nonetheless have an official symbol featuring 3 Satanic pentagrams?

It really doesn’t have to mean a thing as long as it gets the crowds riled up.

Then there is the story at the State Fair:
“Step right up Ladies and Gentlemen, see the meanest animal alive, it’s got a head at both ends of its body.”
“A head at both ends? How does it crap?”
“Why do you think it’s so mean?”
