Spook just wanted to show his mom that he’s having a blast staying healthy in quarantine.

Sorry, but they are to expensive to import from China during the Dark Ages. Unlike today where you could get them from Amazon next week.

So instead of an explosive tell-all letter, he will try for a poison-pen letter.

“Dear Mom: Sorry that I couldn’t get the explosives that you wanted for Christmas…”

The question is, is he wanting to blow his way out of jail or sent a mail bomb?

Sending his own mother a letter bomb, must have been an abusive mother.

(imagines a version of the cartoon not involving this dialogue and a different expression for the character to whom the “balloon” with the dialogue appeared to had been pointed (specifically one of surprise (without disgust))

What? Don’t YOU send your mother explosives? How do you expect her to have fun with your letter?

Should have asked for paper, charcoal, saltpeter, and sulfur.

Could’ve used that pen and paper and wrote a message similar to that guy in the movie “Swat” when he publicly offered $100 million to anyone to break him out of jail

Not a totally bad strategy. Sprinkle in some requests for a horse and a tank when your asking for a bicycle. Maybe it will make the lesser of all the choices the first choice.

Don’t be so suspicious. He needs the explosives so he can deliver the letter in person.

Why do you need explosives to write a letter to your mom.
