The national tide of votes repudiating DJT didn’t “lift all boats” as many, including myself, thought would happen. It’s good that people took the time to read and discuss and decide whom best would represent them on a state and Congressional basis.

Enough votes cast to crush the so called “Red Wave” can’t really be called a trickle. Unless you describe all those 71 million or so Trump votes cast as a “dribble”.

The US is a conservative country—mostly because of the lies that are told about progressive policies. The election was not a repudiation of the Republican Party (as much as I would have liked to see that). It was a repudiation of Donald Trump. I try to be reasonably polite in my comments, but Trump is a disgusting piece of dirt, and it’s wonderful that the voters threw him in the trash heap. Now we get to see if the Republicans can come up with anything positive to help the Democrats solve the many problems we face: the pandemic, economic stimulus, infrastructure, health insurance, and above all, the climate. So far they have been completely useless, and I don’t expect them to improve. The Democrats don’t go nearly far enough, but at least they recognize the problems.

Biden got the most votes of any US president in history.

Maybe the republican covid spreaders will wake up and join reality, hahahahaha!

Dems have the president and the House and the Senate is up for grabs.

OK, no blue wave—bummer—but it appears that a sizeable majority of people are attracted to someone who is competent, down to earth, earnest, and trustworthy.

The surprising thing is that millions of people who have just spent four years exposed to the exact opposite of all those qualities nevertheless voted to prolong the administration of the most unimaginably awful president in the history of the world.

Seeing Mitch and Lindsey returned to the Senate in spite of their loathsome behavior did dampen the elation of BIDEN’S VICTORY!!! A tiny bit.

If the senate is still under GOP control ( a big if) after the Georgia run-offs, McConnell will have to play ball with the democrats or risk a repeat of the blue wave of 2018.
