Even when we had 5 cats we only managed to get all of them on the bed together one time, and not for long

Might have lasted longer but Boots and Jessie never got along and anytime they were too close together the other 3 got nervous

We survived a Cat 3 that lasted years and years. Not an entirely unpleasant event.RIP Charlie, Cracker, and Bumper.

I am familiar with the expression “three dog night”, but in spite of living in Florida all these years I’ve never heard anything about cats helping out when one of those whirlygirls comes calling.

I had one cat and she was very good at telling us to take cover for an in coming storm and when it was safe to come out again. if only it took a clutter of cats to keep us all safe.

JJ did a good job of portraying the blonde eye candy weather girl in panel 2.

‘Three dog night’ originated in Australia as how the Aborigines described a really cold night.

So you need 5 cats if the wind is greater than 156mph.

By the look on Ludwig’s face, I’m guessing a cat orgy would keep him from thinking about the weather. (And thanks to those who explained the cat-5 thing—where I live that’s an old Ethernet cable)

In the part of California where I live the weather is not very severe. However, I do experience the occasional “two-cat night”.

For a major hurricane, you won’t be sleeping for long with anything.

Reminds me of Garrison Keillor’s “Cat Coat”. Depending on how cold the winter in Minnesota was, you’d put a certain number of cats in the coat.

I must be exceedingly safe from hurricanes then I we usually have from 3 to 5 cats on our bed at night and at least one black one. Then again, I live at 7500’ elevation and over 800 miles from the nearest ocean so that may have something to do with the dearth of hurricane activity.
