Hey, a reference to a ‘60s TV commercial. Not bad; not great either; but not bad. But heck, it’s not easy when you’re on team Trump. With that guy, all you have to do is show a real picture with an actual quote and it’s batter than any editorial cartoon.

Pelosi led with her vanity, not her brain. Not that many guys might also do the same with a clandestien barber visit, but Nancy is the one pushing for sensible actions in the face of Covid. She goofed.

I go to my hair stylist for coloring and cuts. I forget to always put on my mask when someone comes to the door. I do my best. Yes, she is, in fact, a savvy intelligent person who should have known 15 mins of fame (plus income) overcomes silence. At the same time she is human and makes mistakes. Adding whataboutism: her mistake is trivial compared to Trump’s considering herd immunity ignoring the increase of hundreds of thousands more unnecessary deaths and millions of new cases as well as advising his followers to vote twice.

The actual hairdresser who did her hair says it was a setup by the owner of the salon, who blamed Pelosi for the lockdown in SF (the lockdown was actually on the orders of the mayor and Gov. Newsome, not Pelosi,, but some people are just ignorant.)

Poor Pelosi has to falsely accuse the small business owner of a setup to cover her own lapse in judgment, it’s conduct unbecoming of a senior Democrat.

Mr. Breen, I find it discouraging that in the current news cycle, you chose to focus on this. President Trumpster Fire has scandals, gaffes, crimes, hate-filled rhetoric, lack of empathy, stupidity and open disregard for the rule of law every day. Ms. Pelosi made an error in judgement of small proportion compared to 45’s blatant flouting of the rules at the RNC convention last week and his refusal to condemn Kyle Rittenhouse for killing two people. Disgraceful!

Madam Speaker, you did a stupid thing. Admit it, apologize, and move on. Mr. President, you’ve done countless stupid things, denied them, or lied about them, or abrogated your responsibility for them, and told the American people to move on. Fair’s fair, isn’t it?

Fair enough. She was being stupid. She deserves some mockery. Still I’d rather have someone with ethical standards who has to apologize once in a while than someone without ethical standards who never apologizes for anything.

Quite the dust up. To be fair her stylist is supporting her version of how this came to be. In fact, the man got himself a lawyer. Not sure what that is all about.

Regardless, her crime is twofold. Going without a mask and getting a service 99.99% of SF residents are still unable to access. The perception of hypocrisy is going to be almost impossible to overcome, especially if this remains a “story” in the media.

Her best course is to just apologize without conditions and move on. If she keeps fighting the story will keep percolating. And, if the city comes down hard on the salon owner it will be perceived as revenge.

Why? Do YOU know if you can get a haircut or not at your favorite shop under COVID lockdown rules. Do they say “solo operator can provide following COVID rules?” If so, would YOU go? And maybe not expect a video to be released of your visit? And of course, how is THIS anywhere NEAR as bad as what the idiot in the White House does multiple times daily. Distraction anyone??

I actually have to chuckle because it’s such a perfect line. Pelosi’s smarter than this, though, so I’m pretty sure she was at the very least lured into error. Still, more like a sting than entrapment, imo.

A quarter of a million in Sturgis packed into bars with no masks for 10 days. Spikes in North Dakota, South Dakota, and other neighboring states. Who got their knickers in a knot? No one who is criticizing Pelosi.

I know we can never know how far the Superspreader event in Sturgis contributes to the numbers, but I can guaran-damn-tee you that Pelosi’s contribution to the virus’ spread will be miniscule in comparison.

More hypocrisy on parade… Trump insisted on illegally holding a campaign rally on the White House lawn with dozens of maskless followers and has been seen in a mask in public exactly once but Pelosi following regulations at a hairdresser is the one who’s setting a bad example??!?!?!?

Plus this letter from the hairdresser’s lawyer confirming that she was set up by the Trump-supporter salon owner (who also has been providing services during quarantine), and that the Pelosi session followed safe guidelines. https://img.sfist.com/2020/09/denardo-letter.jpg
