Reminds me too much of Nader. When the time came to do something meaningful for his country, he failed to do so and then blamed the outcome on Gore. Bolton is blaming the Senate Democrats.
Bolton it’s just another Lily livered chicken hawk. He could have been a contender… He could have been a hero… But no… He was hoping to make big big bucks on his book and couldn’t bring himself to let everyone know what was in the book. Who’d buy a book if they already knew what it was about? Like most GOP Bolton is all about the money.
Mary Trump’s book will be a more compelling read. Simon & Schuster describes Mary Trump’s book online as a “revelatory, authoritative portrait of Donald J. Trump and the toxic family that made him.”The book, the publisher says, will shine “a bright light on the dark history of their family in order to explain how her uncle became the man who now threatens the world’s health, economic security, and social fabric. “In ‘Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man,’ Mary Trump has written a compelling personal story of worldwide significance, and we look forward to helping her tell her story,” Rothberg added.
Yep, hard to tell who to believe here – probably plenty of lies coming from both of them. But it does tell something about an executive’s competency when he claims to “hire the best people” yet has to keep quickly dumping them – and they keep coming out with damning stories about him…
If Bolton had talk on live television to one of the House Committees the Senate trial may have had a different conclusion (I really to don’t think so) but would we have been happier with President Pence religiously protecting us from COVID-19.
It’s a pity there isn’t something congress couldn’t charge and convict Bolton of that would make any profit from his book useless to him. Maybe accessory to over 100,000 wrongful deaths than might have been prevented if Trump hadn’t been in office.
Problem, of course, was that Mulvaney confessed IN PUBLIC that Trump had engaged in bribery and extortion. This was after Trump had confessed IN PUBLIC to having committed the impeachable offenses of engaging in bribery and extortion. Later, we had the House hearings, wherein the previous confessions were backed up by the witnesses who had come forward, to defend their nation instead of their political party. If Moscow Mitch HAD allowed witnesses at his farce (excuse me while I laugh), would any OTHER Republican Senators have voted to remove the career criminal Li’l Donnie from office? It’s 100% sure that Mitt Romney would have been in a very tiny group, even if he weren’t completely alone, as he was in the actual event.
Bolton should be real proud of himself. Just another spineless coward, in it for the payoff. When he had the chance to come forward and be responsible, he hid behind “Well, I’m not allowed to answer the court order.”His reputation was that of a straight shooter, but his actions say otherwise. Wimp.
I believe Bolton. We really knew it all before but couldn’t wrap our heads around it. That a President would take malfeasance to this level and commit actual criminal and traitorous acts in office was unthinkable. Time to think it!
There is nothing Bolton can say about Trump that wasn’t glaringly apparent in 2015. I am not going to buy his book because I don’t want to give him money that I could use to buy a good pizza. His book is what the pizza would end up being, after I’ve eaten it, the same substance I’d be getting rid of the next day.
This sentiment against Bolton, who I never liked, seems to be a bit simplistic. We should probably concentrate on the fact here’s another Republican, who can’t stand the right-wing populist president………….though Bolton should have seen this coming before the election.

I think the Republican Campaign slogan of “What have you got to lose” is going to be replaced by “All Those Books Lie About Me!”

Bolton offered to testify in the Senate, but republicans knew what he was going to say and they supported Rump. They never called any witnesses.

Subpoena him, and arrest him, and take away any money he gets (because you are not allowed to benefit from a crime).

Duh. There’s a reason Trump made his staff sign NDAs. He wants to ensure it’s only his family that profits off any books after he’s out of office.

I liken Bolton v. Trump to Hitler v. Stalin or vampires v. werewolves. Isn’t there some way they can both lose?
