It’s an accurate summation of the year, then.

Well, vast amounts of material can be packed into a very small space.

Our whole universe was in a hot dense state,

Then nearly fourteen billion years ago expansion started.

    Wait…

    The Earth began to cool,

    The autotrophs began to drool,

    Neanderthals developed tools,

We built a wall (we built the pyramids),

Math, science, history, unraveling the mystery,

That all started with the big bang (bang)!

[And that’s just about 25% of the song….]

Everything but sports. Wasn’t there a soccer ball somewhere in there last year?

An incoherent mishmash sounds pretty accurate to sum up a year (particularly this one).

Before seeing this strip I had never heard of a shoe-box diorama. Are they really a thing? My kids never made them, that is for sure.

Petey is NINE. That’s quite a curriculum for grade 4’s!

An incoherent mish-mash is pretty much what human life seems to be about. Find a niche and don’t think about it.

As a former teacher, I can tell you if you will write that explanation out to put with the display, you’ll get an A just for remembering those subjects!

My final shoebox diorama is empty. It represents everything important I learned in school.

life at times can be incoherent, a mishmash…just look at what is happening to our lives during these 2 pandemics…virus and racism. we can only hope that one day it will be more clear/simple and less complicated/confusing.
