I’m just wondering what a “shed of dignity” is. As opposed to a “shred”.

Those 2 weeks without sourdough bread were the toughest!

You feed the sourdough starter on a weekly basis which makes it grow, and you must keep using the growth unless you want a fridge filled with starter. Annoying yet simple.

That is a personal problem that would not have happened with basic care! No slack for those in cartoonland!

how can you run out of sourdough starter? You feed it every time you use it.

I must be crazy or something, because I re-read this strip and the comments and laughed like crazy. The imagination of this cartoonist must be a little left of center or something or the other. LOL
