On the same day that the U.S. surpassed ONE MILLION confirmed cases of COVID-19 and passed in TWO MONTHS the total of the entire TWENTY YEARS the Vietnam War (with Donald Trump AWOL from both), Jared Kushner had the nerve to call this abysmal failure to act aggressively and early, a “GREAT SUCCESS STORY.”

On Wednesday, with the governor of Iowa — where massive numbers of people are becoming infected in meat packing plants and state prisons and refusing to issue a state lockdown or even compliance with CDC safety recommendations (which in any other administration would be compliance mandates) — visiting the White House, Mike Pence used the exactly the same language. He called the governor’s complete failure a “GREAT SUCCESS STORY.”

Two people who will be missed when they’re gone. Maybe. By one or two people, maybe.

Jared and Bonespurs deserve their own “success”.

I guess a draft dodger getting more people killed than the entire Vietnam War is some kind of success story.

Saw a post on the internet – Almost 19 years ago we mourned the loss of about 3,000 people. The news was filled with stories about their lives. A nation wept for months. We united for a common goal. There were heroes everywhere and their stories inspired us. Look at us today. Far more dead, many, many times that ill. And now we’re killing people because we want to get a haircut and don’t want to wear a mask. Jesus wept. I’m so ashamed of the leadership and a lot of people in this nation. I’m embarrassed to be an American.

If we make it out of all of this, the history books kids read are going to be hard to believe.
