Like all con artists, Trump has contempt for the victims of his con artistry—in this case, the people who voted for him and support him. Yet Trump is living proof that a person does not have to be intelligent to be a successful con artist or cult leader—merely slightly less of an imbecile than the victims of his cons and his cult.
