I don’t know how long his wife’s been gone. After my husband passed, it was about 2 years before I took off my ring.

Maybe he’s interested in the new girl at J-Mart? Gracie won’t approve!

I like how no dialog was used in today’s strip. There is a lot of meaning conveyed by the artist.

Sergio, it’s okay to look forward. A more inspirational character would be hard to find in a fictional work. I’m rooting for you!

You move on when you’re ready. She’ll still love you, even in Heaven.

Don’t let anyone tell you how or how long to grieve. This is yours and you must deal with it in your own way. It is critically important to let your grief run its full course, you will know when it is time to move on.

About 16 years into their marriage, Pop had to have his ring cut off. He found he enjoyed not wearing one, and it became a source of friction for about 18 months or so until Mom bought him a new one and basically stood over him until he put it on. When she passed in 2005, he had it off almost before the funeral and never wore it again. There was never a man more devoted to his wife. He just didn’t care for wearing rings.

Is Sergio removing the band or merely turning it? It has been a few years since the wreck.

My husband died in 1998. I still wear my rings. There will never be anyone else.
