I am following most of this logic, but what does a leak in the basement have to do with Spring?

Are there still such things as snow tires? I thought that we’d developed all-weather tires that didn’t need to be changed. I worked for a short time for B.F. Goodrich. One of their designers once told me “I can make a tread that will scream at 10 mph if you want one.”

My sentiments too. I hate spring, for a variety of reasons.

A few days ago I mentioned to my husband that it was a good thing that this virus hit this time of year, because kids (with yards) could still play outside for a good amount of time & not get all “cabin fever”. The very next day we had temps in the 20s…and yesterday we got a little snow. Go figure.

Their thoughts align, he just thought about all the good stuff with one word. ‘Nice.’ Then all the other stuff came in.

If life hands you lemons, someone gets stuck making the lemonade.

I’m thankful that we no longer have storm windows that have to come off in the Spring and be put on in Autumn. I remember how heavy they were!

John’s a dentist so there’s a good chance that this year he has closed his office for several weeks. My husband slept until 8:30, is walking with the dog, and later planning on trimming the bushes at his office building as well as home. Silver lining, maybe.

There will be a lot more babies nine months from now and it will likely continue into spring.

The last house that I lived in that had a basement was my parents’ house in Connecticut. I’ve never owned a home that had one. The nearest approximation of a basement was a cabin I had in Colorado that had a “root cellar” pantry.

Spring in the southwest is a mixed bag. Yes, it is warmer and plants are sprouting and such but there is also the incessant winds which we will be dealing with until June.
