So, Gorrell, if Your Messiah is a Traitor and a criminal, he should not be held accountable because YOUR 401k is doing ok?

    .

During the entire eight years of the Obama administration, Gorrell and the other Trump Disciples chanted every day:

The Stock Market Is NOT The Economy!"

    While the S&P tripled.

Now, they believe Their Messiah was responsible for the whole thing.

If you see the world through a Democrat lens you firmly believe Trump deserves to be both impeached and removed; the evidence, for you, is clear and compelling. You are left with a puzzle, however : why it is that the case you have laboriously compiled has failed to produce a tidal wave of public agreement on the issue? You may well ask yourself that question. At least half of the populace does not believe that Trump should be convicted and removed – nor even impeached. Basket of Deplorables? Ignorance? Brain washed? Cognitive failures? Stick to juvenile jeers and name calling if you wish, but the hard fact is roughly half of the voters see the world through a lens that says though he may at times be rude, crude, and socially unacceptable, Trump is doing a good job in office.

First time I checked out this strip. It’s as vile as most of its ilk. “Yeah, he’s a despicable human being, who knows nothing except insults and self-aggrandizement, but wow, look at all this money I’m making!” Hey, you know what really makes money?! Dealing meth and sex trafficking! So come on man, get with it!

Remember Bill’s buddy James “It’s the economy, stupid” Carville. Doesn’t only apply to Democratic Presidents.

Yup, Gorrell has it nailed. And the 50% of Americans that have no 401K can go hang. They don’t really count.

Let us set aside the narcissism, misogyny, racism, corruption, and the just plain vindictive nature of the Rump. Let us look at the environmental damage he is causing. Let us look at the alienating of the U.S allies and his kissing up to dictators and endangering world security. And most of all let us not ignore the children he has had locked up and let some die. But, for you conserves, the economy is the only thing that counts, so it’s all okay.

Show this toon to your grand-kids in a few years when they are faced with paying off this clowns bad policies. Gorrell you just showed what a true GOPer is all about. ME, ME, ME. Only 32% of this country has 401k plans. 35% of this country has ZERO in savings. 1% of all Americans are participating in the stock market. Pat yourself on the back Bob, it’s ok to be you.

How well are things going? Our money market account just announced they are doubling the interest rate. Yup. Doubling it!

Instead of 0.1%, we are now getting a whopping 0.2% We now get 20 cents on $100 instead of a dime. What ever will we do with all that extra money? We can’t even afford to send somebody a letter to let them know.

Since 2010, Bob. Since 2010 the stock market has been climbing and Americans with stock investments and retirement plans have benefited. But how many working class, blue collar, low-mid income workers have 401Ks? And those 401Ks do not pay their bills today. The low wages they receive working multiple jobs pay the bills. Increasing debt with credit cards and high interest rates pay their bills. Obama failed with help of GOP controlled Congress obstruction to fix it. Trump has done ZERO to fix it over 3 years now. Just stop, Bob. The stock market doesn’t measure our economy. Jobs and wage growth measures our economy.

Congratulations, Bob! You win today’s “Hypocrisy Award”!

That is, unless you’d like to tell us all how you jumped for joy over the economy during the Clinton administration, or when Obama helped America avoid that recession.

“The subjugation, enslavement, and even extermination of the native peoples of the New World by Europeans in the 1500’s (in many ways continuing to this day) was reprehensible and inhuman, and the condoning and even encouragement of this by the Christian establishment, both Catholic and otherwise, was a stunning example of moral blindness and hypocrisy. On the other hand, it made us A LOT of money!”

    Oh goodie.

Gorrell its giving credit to Donald Trump for a strong economy that Trump inherited from his predecessor.

Guess he hasn’t figured out the inheritance is not an accomplishment.

    Holden:

Regardless of the lens used, I lament the refusal of so many to see that our emperor is, at the least, underdressed, on this issue of impeachment.

From his own mouth, he solicited Ukraine’s assistance to sully Joe Biden. It is also fairly apparent that he withheld military aid to induce the Ukrainian cooperation in that scheme. If another explanation exists for what he was doing, he has the power to produce it, but he won’t.

What is the rationale for keeping a president in office who engages in this behavior? Do we deny what we saw and heard? Pretend the phone call is perfect?

Does a good economy excuse violation of the president’s oath of office and the law?

Should we tolerate his abuse of power because his undisciplined mouth and Rambo foreign policy give us all the cheap thrills of an action movie?

I’ll refrain from name calling. But I’d love to hear some well informed and sober reflection from his supporters concerning how exactly this president’s behavior in this matter “is doing a good job in office.”

Nationally, our 401Ks and other market investments are going up, just as they did throughout the Obama administration. Nationally, our debt is going through the roof as a results of all the borrowed money the Republicans are pumping into the economy. My investments look great now. I just hope I time getting out just right before this bubble bursts.

Trump asked “How are your 409Ks doing?” followed by a claim that they should be up 70 – 90% and if you only had a 50% increase “what are you doing wrong?”. Trump later fixed it to be 401K but kept the lies about outrageous gains and the insult.

    Same Gorrell alter-ego cartoon as:

    https://www.gocomics.com/bobgorrell/2018/04/03

This cartoon admits he’s okay with everything Trump has done (witholding aid from an ally to get dirt on Biden, putting children in concentration camps, and all the lying and corruption) because the economy(as many have pointed is currently benefiting him…

Except Donald Trump has nothing to do with Wall Street’s performance. If you want to give the POTUS credit for that, then people should heap a load of praise on Obama (52.9%) and Clinton (57.2%). Trump is #3 at 44.6%.
