    I do notice a change in language on newscasts. In a time of little chance of legislation changing gun laws, the talking heads reported episodes of ‘shootings’ – carrying the connotation that a shooter was responsible. Now that the chances for legislative change have increased, all such news is reported as episodes of ‘gun violence’ – carrying the connotation that guns are responsible.

    I agree with Stantis. But whereas the Republican Party has temporarily fallen sway to Donald Trump’s populism, the Democratic Party has become an increasingly frangible accretion of identity subgroups. It’s a race to see which splinters first, but the Democrats will shatter worse.

    Heck, last I heard the Woke mob cites Math, with it’s insistence on correct answers, as a tool of white supremacy and oppression. Science won’t be far behind in their condemnation. My best advice is don’t board a spaceship bound for Mars that was designed and built by any of them.

    I’m a relic Conservative – I am opposed to govt overspending regardless of the party doing it. It was economic collapse, caused by overspending, debt, and a centralized command economy, that brought down that exemplar of Marxism in action – the Soviet Union. As they say, ‘those who cannot remember the past…’ are Bernie Sanders et al….
