She was in violation of a Senate rule against impugning another senator’s character. When called on it, she attempted to claim that she was not violating the rule, she was simply reading Mrs King’s letter from decades earlier. As she persisted in the behavior despite being warned, she was silenced. That ruling was just and for cause.

PC check: Any celebration of being caucasian, or expressing pride in any caucasian ancestry, is automatically considered racist.

The strip is decades old. Flash forward to today, and there’s no need for kids to hack the grid and shut it down, the California PGE will do it themselves.

“Nevertheless, she persisted”. A reason an adult may give for sending a misbehaving girl to a time-out. An expression proudly adopted and popularized by Elizabeth Warren in 2017 after the Senate silenced her for repeatedly violating Senate rules of behavior. Nancy often seems to be taking a page from Elizabeth’s playbook. I am in no way defending Trump’s actions and behaviors; he’s just as willful and childish. A pox on these political tantrum throwers.

I’m tired of both Frank and Brandy; two star-crossed — no, self-crossed — would be lovers whose mutual failure to communicate has brought them just desserts.

We are so divided as a country I see little likelihood the opposing political visions will even compromise, much less find rapprochement. My crystal ball on the contrary sees a likelihood of every upcoming POTUS undergoing impeachment inquiries in future, regardless of who is elected to the office. So perhaps the House should agree to codify a more defined procedure for how such inquiries are launched — or perhaps even better: establish a permanent inquiry panel – a permanent Presidential Oversight Review Board.

“…Since the Vote to open an Impeachment Inquiry got a majority of the 435 members…”(sic). There was no vote to open an impeachment inquiry; that’s my point and my question – by what procedure is an official inquiry to be opened? Simple decree of the Speaker?

“Politicians and their families and friends profit from their offices”? Gee, imagine my surprise.
