As a young child I was given those virtually indestructible toys and a lot didn’t live up to the marketing hype.

No dogs, but I have a parrot like that.

My cat destroyed a play mouse this week lol

Ah chew toy.

Dogs will do that….a chewy bone is supposed to last for days but in fact, it last for hours Yummy!

He must be a Pitty…! :D

I bought both of my dogs chew toys without stuffing. In a short time they had chewed the squeaker toy out of them.

Spot on!!! (No pun intended… unless you really found that funny… then, yeah, it was…)

Pro tip: every so often, go to a second-hand store and get your dog a cheap stuffed animal, bring it home, and let them tear it to pieces. It satisfies their chewing instincts without costing a fortune.

As a boy I marveled to how our dogs handled grass snakes, time derivative of acceleration (what many feel every day just before they die in a car crash) twice per cycle till finished and the slithering beast had no idea what hit him.

If it ain’t KONG, it don’t last long!

This is my little beagle exactly. By the way, she eats Kongs 3 so far. she is 15 months old.

So where’s the toy?

We used to buy our St. Bernard this big rawhide chew toys. Guaranteed to last for hours. 30 minutes later, not a trace!

“My toy? I thought it belonged to you!”

And this is why I stopped buying chew toys.
